Anyway, who here from MS is coming to the tournament in Olive Branch on Saturday? I know Cylus, Rod, Sev, w00t, and I are going, and I’m trying to get a friend of mine to come (Sgt Shamwow, who was at the Ole Miss tournament). Anyone else?
I can’t make it, but a friend of mine who is pretty good at MvC3 is coming to hopefully wreck shit.
I’m not where I would like to be in MvC3 yet, but online is helping me a lot.
What teams is everyone running in MvC3 right now? Currently I’m using Magneto/wolverine/Dante, but I like to mix in Chun Li, X-23 and a few others… I’m all about the rushdown.

Congratulations to all the Mississippi guys(rod, ricky) who went to that tournament up north today. I heard Cedric(Magneto Man) did well with his Guy in SSFIV and did pretty good in MvC3 as well. I can’t wait to play you guys in MvC3.
Oh, and I still think Sentinel is a bitch in MvC3… I find it more satisfying beating him than using him. He is also the most boring ass character in the game to play with this time around. Good thing he kills people so fast, because jesus fucking christ is he obnoxiously boring this time around.
I really don’t like Dante, yet I’ve been using him… I really need to find more time to practice so I can create a decent team and stick with it for a while. Assists take too much damage in this game, imo. It’d be worth it if the game had some really good assists like MvC2 had, but most of them are completely worthless… and the ones that are decent can be stopped by a jab. Where is my invincible Ken AAA? Where is My Psylocke AAA? So far I’ve been really digging Magneto’s shockwave assist because it at least comes out reasonably quick.
I also do not like the lack of techrolling in this game… It leads to masturbatory combos that are very easy to land, and take forever to complete. I just do not like the groundbounce shit very much, even if you can only get one bounce per combo. I also am not sure how much I like the air recovery jump shit… It’s probably just my MvC2 habits, but it’s really annoying lol.
Aside from my complaints, I do love the game. Will be purchasing any and all DLC for this bitch.
Thanks alot bro the tourney wasnt our best we didn’t have time to warm up due to running around for lunch and at gamestop (long story) and the xbox timing is so different from ps3 kyoji proved that by defeating wootsick in a money match however i have to get on the xbox just to get use to the timing hell atleast i put someone out the tourney and met some kool people next stop final round fuck EVO

I feel you guys about the whole 360/PS3 thing. I feel that the PS3 is the tournament standard and should be the system of choice at even the local level. However, the local guys here in Memphis mostly have 360s and when you try and run a tournament at minimal cost, you have to use what your scene has. Most people here also bring up the whole timing issue as well between the 360 and PS3 as a reason 360 should be the system of choice so out goes the PS3 at tournaments! 
I will be adding you guys on PSN to get some more practice in. My Balrog needs the fighting experience.

I completely feel you about the PS3 issue. I wish everyone would just use PS3, personally. I have both systems and the PS3 is the system I buy all of my fighting games on.

Bad Games to a local MS player here. You know who you are. He played Sent. Dante. Deadpool tried locking me down. Akuma wasnt having it, so after I was gettin my beat on to that robot head he quit mid game then deleted me from his friends list lol REALLY!
