The whole mashing thing is the same as MVC2 you do a move like Wolverine’s berserker barrage and just mash whatever button you used to do the move to score more hits. Same with hypers you just mash both buttons.

re: Noah. Don’t forget CJ Truth is 13 and a god at SF4. Isn’t limited to what you think is Mash vs Mash 3. I’m surprised more little kids don’t play Tekken or Calibur, considering one of their huge advantages is that young reaction time and that’s a HUGE part of Namco games. Unless you math majors would like to believe that reacting to a 6 or 7 frame move is MUCH easier than reacting to a 12 or 15 frame one.
you’d be surprised how many players can’t even react to 12-15 frame move that’s -20 on block… and still won’t punish or even punish correctly
and i was 11 when i started playing TTT in tournaments… and i was beating most of the WI crew… made a bunch of them quit too

The difference between 13 (a freshman in high school) and 8 (in 2nd grade in elementary school) is quite large. Puberty, brain development, etc. It’s like comparing a 1 year old and a 6 year old, not even close.
Again, this. KoF is sick. 98 is amazingly technical and takes a high degree of execution and knowledge. 2002/UM is my favorite overall, I love the varying playstyles of the different characters, movesets, and depth…if you look up kof2002 Angel combos, Angel has some ridiculously technical 100% combos and whatnot…shit I cant even wrap my mind around doing (although I’d like to learn…it’s just very arcane)
Was playing Last Blade 2 (VERY underrated), and got Samsho 6 for ps2, which looks very deep.
I play all these games, Syxx if you ever have the inclination to come play me I’ll play SNK games all day long with you, I’m down to learn, and I have some knowledge already (I remember playing 2002 3 days after it came out on the NeoRageX emulator on win98 with a keyboard xD)
