@ Nappeh: totally agreed about Demon’s Crest, I remember getting it for an emulator way back solely because I heard people saying it was great. I didn’t “get it”- maybe you have to really love Castlevania to like it… seemed like shit to me. I’d rather play Super Valis IV or something.

From a non-hardcore gamers perspective, fighting games could appear as the same shit also. Compare KOF 2002’s K’ to KOF XIII. Compare Ryu across the SF series. If you delve deep enough, you can tell the differences in the game sequels. Fighting games are no exception.

Emulators on xbox 1 suck ass. I set that crap up and never touched it again. The only emulator i’ve ever spent much time with were the PSP ones (portable CPS2) and BSNES on PC. In general they are just really poor imitations of those old games.
Man, I don’t get how people can’t like any modern games. I can only assume it’s because they aren’t playing any of them, or are just incredibly resistant to change/popular things. I guess i’m just a slave to the hype machine. I think this year has had a ton of awesome games. Portal 2, Ace Combat, the Daytona USA XBLA release, Dark Souls, and Gears 3 were all great.
Deus Ex was almost great, but then its ending sucked and it decided it was not interested in being interesting halfway through.
I have no problem with Call of Duty. I played the shit out of Call of Duty 2 and 4, especially.
My problem is that they’ve been making the same fucking game for 4 years every year and every other person who makes videogames is just making their games more like Call of Duty because fucking idiots keep buying them year after year.

I bought a couple next gen games when PS3 was pretty new, I got Oblivion, GTA4, Resistance, MGS4, all the hyped up stuff that people said were killer apps, they were a waste of my fucking dollars and now I’m too scared to trust my fifty bux to other peoples opinions.

I’m just going to have to get them on a emulater. I just wished I could of played these games when I was 5
modern games for the majority of the part that I’ve bought have sucked MAJOR ASS. I bought games such as Mindjack, modern warfare 2, and kane/lynch…was not impressed at all.
however there have been some good games that I can get well worth my money’s worth such as mortal kombat, batman, and I didn’t think deus ex was that bad. (btw: BATMAN!!!)
if anyone has any recommendations to give me which current ps3 games kick ass please let me know. (or any game really, it’s nice playing non-competitive games for a change)
