Milwaukee: Too grimey for the rest of WI

Greenfield sucks for an arcade.

Lots of loitering, and cops up dat ass all day due to lack of no crime.

I’d try somewhere less hater-filled.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was that expensive, that is a pretty prime area. If you have questions about the rent, you could possibly ask the nearby stores and see if they’ll say how much they’re paying to get an idea. But it probably won’t be cheap there. On the up side, if you could afford it, you’d probably get a lot of traffic from the mall. Having Media Exchange right there would help too. It’s pretty natural for people to be skeptical about arcades, but you just have to try to sell it as best as you can and try to come up with unique ways to make money aside from just the machines. It wouldn’t be a great idea to sell it to them as a hang-out spot unless you have good ways of making money to go along with that.

I don’t know what’s happened yet but I certainly wouldn’t be too quick to pull a race card if you’d like to get a good response. Hell, you could even try to use it to your advantage by playing up your ability to understand and attract a diverse clientele (as well as having say, communities such as this one already interested in supporting the place). Besides, anything legal-wise should be passed through your lawyer before mentioned anywhere else anyway. Do you need any special licenses for arcades anyway?

Just try to keep acting as professional as possible and get this done. If you have to go somewhere else, you have to go somewhere else. You could also ask the owners of the Galloping Ghost (or other similar places, although I don’t know any nearby) how their experience has been (they’ve only been open for a short time) and if they have any suggestions. But that place seems close to what you’re trying to accomplish, and it seems like they have a pretty good business model to back it up.

sadly i think is racially motivated, i called hin like 2 blocks from the place to see if he would be there cus i was gonna be there early. he was all in a happy tune and said that hes there already, so when he saw me, his facial expression and tone changed.
ive been through this type of things before, so i know it was racially motivated, sad but that shit still around.

I’m not exactly sure what your situation is, but I hope it gets better and isn’t racially motivated

IMPORTANT TO MVC3 OWNERS: since umvc3 is coming out, I recommend selling your copy of mvc3 to get $20 back, just a thought

And yeah, there’s no question it’s still around, but you should also try to look for everything you can control first.

WI- Where we run MK tournaments monthly but MK players don’t show up so the game doesn’t get run.

Big Paull there is no arcade here yet unless, you want to count the cabin my basement and the A3 cab at Jerry’s as an arcade lol. We are playing tonight at our fight night the address is in the first post of this thread if you want to stop by and get some games in.

I checked online, and found arcades at Lasertag Adventure, Geyser Games Arcade (in Country Springs Hotel), and Oriental Landmark Lanes… I don’t know what all games are at these places, but maybe someone can comfirm what games are there for me… I am not in WI yet until NOV, but I am a competitive gamer that has played in major tourneys like FR in ATL…

Unless you are a tournament level Golden Tee player you will be disappointed. Landmark has MK2 and TTT at least.

I would gladly enter mk, I would most likely get my ass kicked, but, it’s still a fun game.

I completed dante must die in dmc4, I felt that I accomplished something today. :).

Roman Klein dude: $20 bucks seems kinda expensive for playing arcade games on a weekday. and $30 on saturdays??? sorry, way to much money for me.

lol @ people that invest money into madden games, they are such a ripoff
