Milwaukee: Too grimey for the rest of WI

Did someone say new years party at Romines?

On Tuesdays I have work and class from 8am to 7pm on Tuesdays so I’m pretty wiped by the time that’s over with. Though it’s only a few miles away so maybe I will come at some point.

Everyone should come out and get that stanima up.

What games do you all play on Tuesdays?

Super, 3s, MK, T6, A2, Silver Surfer, MvC3, Arcana3, KoF, Garou all get time at Jerry’s on Tuesdays. Most of us are down to play anything.

i will mostlikely bethere, i also would like to have a talk with all that show up to play. but thats for when i get there xD

Well I only live a mile away so maybe I’ll come after class. I really only play mvc3 most of the time but I’m down for most games.

We also do MMs in H-games.

First to ask why we’re playing said games loses.

Wait what is this? Is there an arcade in Milwaukee now? Or are you theorizing one?

I was just actually down at the Galloping Ghost near Chicago recently, really nice place. I must say, it’s even more fun to destroy screaming kids in person than it is on Xbox Live.

no one in milwaukee aside from maybe nappy is going to hit crouch cancel infinites. a-ism is fun, and i kind of like the insane counterhit game in it. plus with guard crush and stuff you have the aggressive game people complain that is lacking in sf4. but its also dead as shit so i’ll shut up

Battle Raper 2 MM FT5 for $20
My Yura is godlike you can’t touch dis’

Vocaloid 3 is the future

Hahaha, Alex takin’ me back with Battle Raper 2. We should definitely play this sometime.

True story here…I learned CC infinites in A3 before I learned any in MvC2.

No clue why. I love me some X Sakura though…she my bitch.

Lol I forgot about Battle Raper. Let’s get some Dangerous Toys or G-Cup Gear Dizzy action tomorrow.

How we supposed to do first to 10 if most games only got like 6 girls?

thats the plan brother, looked at a few places right next to old country buffet behind south ridge mall today, but they want gold for it. they want for a 4000sf place, $6500 a month, and for a 2800sf $4600 a month, just not realistic, and i dont think they like the idea of an arcade there, still waiting for a proper response and see if they are discriminating against me cus am hispanic, cus if i find out that they are lying? lawyer time, this world is fucked up when it come to rasist crap like that. lets hope is not and they are telling me the truth, but from the looks of the guy showing the place? it looks like discrimination.

man this is hard :frowning:
but lets keep praying for this to happen, and i will need peoples support from milwaukee to make it so

The classic hotdog bun/hotdog conundrum.

PHYSICS AND GEOMETRY
thank you sammy

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was that expensive, that is a pretty prime area. If you have questions about the rent, you could possibly ask the nearby stores and see if they’ll say how much they’re paying to get an idea. But it probably won’t be cheap there. On the up side, if you could afford it, you’d probably get a lot of traffic from the mall. Having Media Exchange right there would help too. It’s pretty natural for people to be skeptical about arcades, but you just have to try to sell it as best as you can and try to come up with unique ways to make money aside from just the machines. It wouldn’t be a great idea to sell it to them as a hang-out spot unless you have good ways of making money to go along with that.

I don’t know what’s happened yet but I certainly wouldn’t be too quick to pull a race card if you’d like to get a good response. Hell, you could even try to use it to your advantage by playing up your ability to understand and attract a diverse clientele (as well as having say, communities such as this one already interested in supporting the place). Besides, anything legal-wise should be passed through your lawyer before mentioned anywhere else anyway. Do you need any special licenses for arcades anyway?

Just try to keep acting as professional as possible and get this done. If you have to go somewhere else, you have to go somewhere else. You could also ask the owners of the Galloping Ghost (or other similar places, although I don’t know any nearby) how their experience has been (they’ve only been open for a short time) and if they have any suggestions. But that place seems close to what you’re trying to accomplish, and it seems like they have a pretty good business model to back it up.

Yo dstln, come to our tournament on the13th.
