i think felicia has some 1 frame links or something like that for her big damage. usually when i counterhit with mp with cody, i go into crouching lk to mk ruffian, but ill try the tornado to see if i get more damage. i like the positioning that the ruffian gives you.
What’s this MVC3 “call assist while getting hit” bullshit? You can’t. You can call one RIGHT BEFORE you get hit if you aren’t in the middle of a special/hyper move, which is usually what you get hit with when your “OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY” glands start pumping and you start mashing out your favorite training mode combo in your grand effort to show the guy next to you how big your tallywhacker is. And then he laughs as he touch-of-deaths ya, knowing you won’t stop running into Haggar/Tron/Armored Hsien Ko/Whatever assist.
I won’t say it’s not complete and utter bullshit that you can call an assist while in RECOVERY from a whiffed/blocked normal (because, fuggin’-el, it is), but it’s in the game. Calling your favorite assist while getting smacked around, however, isn’t.
It seems like marvel 3 is becoming like marvel 2 where there are a limited set of high level strategies that the tournament scene becomes centered around.
The difference between 2 and 3 is that those high level strategies in marvel 2 were awesome game breaking, difficult stuff. In marvel 3 it’s just herp derp.
You most certainly can call an assist while being hit you have to do it right as the first hit of the combo string hits you. If you don’t believe me have somebody take a team with Tron Gustaff assist,hit them and have them call Tron as soon as the hit connects. She will come out.
You can’t summon assists while in hitstun. If an assist hits you out of the first hit of a combo, they summoned the assist before being put into hitstun, even if the input was only a couple of frames before the hit connected.
annd dooku drops by for a monthly visit. Can you tell me maybe why dustloop hasnt been working for like 3 days? I thought about getting into BB, but I can’t even do it without technology and info.
You can read japanese, use the bb atwikis. They’re more useful than DL anyways. Also yeah you should play BB, since there’s a lot of people that play that in Japan, and it’s a good game.

The atwiki there is for more simple BNB stuff for the most part, every character has specific wikis that are linked to from the bbs. Also character discussion and such going on there that can be pretty useful.

Probably getting a PS3 within the next two months. How decent is the netcode for Arcana Heart 3? Think the connection would be good enough to play you and/or Alex without me cussing a lot?
I think the netcode’s pretty good, but it’s still netplay. I generally don’t play much online; I always end up disappointed with online in most fighting games. Alex has played much more AH online than I have, and he thinks it’s great, but I still feel it’s about the level where BB’s is. As in you can sometimes hit combos (optimal combos not so much), and sometimes the flow of the match is sorta close to offline. But it is leagues better than marvel’s, at least it’s playable.
Maybe 3SO will be fine. I’ve never played much SF, but 3S looks better than any of the others imo. Regardless I’m picking that up, probably a couple of other Madison players will also.
3S is fun stuff, willing that your local community doesn’t all pick Chun. Dubuque has a pretty unique set of mains. Me - Twelve/Elena/Akuma, Keela - Ibuki/Makoto/Ken, Olli - Yun/Dudley/Ryu. Murphy doesn’t live in town anymore, but he picked Oro/Q, and one other player in town picks Makoto pretty much exclusively. Probably why we like the game so much…no Chuns in sight. Actually fun that way. 
“The announcement is for a “super” version of MvC3, called Marvel vs Capcom 3 EX. It will be available as a DLC update and as a retail disc (with limited supplies, mostly distributed via online retailers), as well as a PC version and an (eventual) Wii U version. Pricing and release date are still being decided, but the rough release date is Q4 2011.
- The game will add 10 new characters, and Jill and Shuma will be part of the update if you don’t have them already (they aren’t counted towards the 10 characters).

I hope phoenix wright is awesome. Also holding out hope for the chick from P.N.03 as weird and obscure as that would be. A pixie character that shoots laserbeams from her hands and shakes her ass has an obvious appeal for marvel. She’s no more obscure than Shuma-Gorath or Tron Bonne.
