I have put 600 hours into ssf4. Im so close to “getting” it. Practice mode i hit everything i want but in game i fall apart. Footsies and spacing are a problem. Need more practice thats not online.
The majority of people here play on 360/PS3. I wish my PC could run the game I hear the netcode is a lot better than XBL/PSN.

Evil Ryu actually has some decent combos off of his mk ax kick. Mk ax kick cr.lk cr.lp cr.mp lk tatsu fierce dp does decent damage and is easy to do. I’m liking Fei in AE too j.mp cr.lkX2 st.lp cr.lp Rekka X 3 looks so cool. I’m glad they buffed Cody in this game. Seems like the little changes they made to him helped him out a lot. Jerry, do you ever do st.mp cr.lk fierce Criminal Upper with him? People eat it all the time. I think once they get hit with the MP they aren’t expecting it to lead into a combo.
So do any events for Wausau Con start tomorrow? I can’t find any times anything starts aside from “be there early today” 
those amaterasu veil of mist combos on the front page are awesome looking. I laughed out loud at the 4x chaotic flame in one combo.
This game could have been good.
Hopefully the announcement at Comic Con isn’t just DLC characters and they actually try to fix what’s wrong with the game.
I think they had a basically good idea of a game where combos were extremely open ended and allowed people to improvise and find lots of crazy stuff and strike out on their own with unique teams.
Now from a perspective of watching high level play and tournaments, not whatever mashing and nonsense I do, the complete opposite happened. It was a race to the bottom among a lot of players to find the highest damage, easiest to do stuff. I guess every game is like that somewhat, in that there are beginner level strategies, but I don’t think most games’ beginner level strategies are as effective as they are in marvel 3.
Yeah I agree with what you are saying. The thing with MVC3 like Nappy said is you can whiff most normals and not get punished. In almost any other fighter if you are whiffing normals in range of your opponent you are going to get punished hard. The calling assist while being hit is BS too. I don’t hate MVC3 or anything but something needs to change. The game is fun and all on a casual level. They just need to make some adjustments to XF IMO.
Also, I think if you hit Phoenix with a hyper and she turns while your hyper is still active I think she should take some damage. Instead of hit her with a hyper have her change and then still getting hit by the hyper and nothing happening. If they changed that invincibility and made her vulnerable maybe not taking full damage but some damage that would change a lot.
what do you mean by beginner level strategies in high level play? If they’re very effective, then they’re not necessarily beginner strategies, even if they’re stripped bare or not execution heavy.
I think what he means is strats that anybody can do. I don’t really play the game much but I guarantee I can take Wolverine with Akuma Tatsu assist teamed with Sent. and wreck shop. To me Marvel requires very little execution to win at the game. Anybody can do the same shit that everyone else does. It’s not like this game has any 1 frame links or anything. I understand they wanted to get casual players into it etc. but it comes to a point where shit gets to be almost too watered down which MVC3 is very close to being. I’m sure they will make changes to the game and address some of the shit wrong with it.
