I used ISOBuster to extract everything to my PC. I go the exe and when I try to run it, a blank command prompt opens and closes, with nothing happening. I even set compatibility settings to XP, but it didn’t do a thing. Help?

GGXX is heavily dependant on loops and doing 60%+ damage from them / other combos, but another game comes along with similar mechanics and it’s suddenly shit?

Is there anything actually inherently BROKEN in the game? A move that has massive blockstun / fireball that’s too good / glitch and so on?

Well GG had better gameplay at X and Arcana Heart had better “clean” high res characters.
Never mind all the graphical glitches and lazy presentation. Heck it doesn’t even have confirmation sound effects.
Still hope they can learn as they go like French Bread did though.

I don’t know if all the really retarded stuff Sp00ky was talking about on IRC still applies to the latest patch, but I assume it does. You’ll have to ask him though.

I think the hate is because it just doesn’t look pretty enough or something. I enjoy it, i like doing combos, so its cool.

As far as i know, the broken part is just the amount of damage you can do in a combo…and the fact that people dont like how it looks (tho i think it looks fine i unno)

This was figured out with me with the new patch for about 5 minutes.
Gives you an idea of how (un)nerfed virginia is. I actually coulda got more hits but you get the idea.

Stomps still jump cancellable on block. So is 5B/2C. j.C to j.236B not comboing on standing is a blessing in disguise as it gives her a new and even deadlier fuzzy setup off IADs. (if the opponent mashes a button they get counterhit) which is WAY more practical than the stupid rejump combo.

623A to 22C still works, 22C is still an overhead, etc.

Basically all this did was tone down Virginia’s damage somewhat by forcing her to use less Cs in combos. It might not be a bad change overall but I think her mixups are actually much more stupid than her actual damage output.

i agree with you man, the game is fun, at least for me, i like the char designs, and over all, the game isnt that bad compared to sbx or tvc for example

I’m going to end up keeping this one around in the long run (just gotta remember to back up every patch just in case >.>’) The game’s grown on me the more I mess with it, and it’s good for something casual.

Make sure to only download the topmost patch (the one marked Vista updated on the 28th).

It’d be nice to think this game will get upgraded to something cool eventually. I’m actually very slowly starting to like it, though I’ve got my eye on Chaos Code much more so.

I actually don’t have a problem with MOST of the character designs. Folo is the standout for me, (and not just because I like traps) but aside from that, I like the characters with eye patches and also Nobuko.

Verginia doesn’t interest me and Silvio looks like he escaped from Death Note. Smile is…eh…they tried.

I just feel that some of these characters are too plain, even though they tried to sexify a lot of the girls (and also the shota kid too).

Seems to be happening specifically with that character when he’s KO’ed. I got similar results when I beat him in my last arcade playthrough.

hm… i seem to be having the problem of the new patch messing up on winXP sp3… anyone with XP sp3 successfully installed the patch without any issues? what was ur install method/procedure…

also, is there a way to get at the in-game sprites from the game files?
