I do notice that if you double tap C~C you get a buffered throw which is kinda tight when delaying block strings and doing frame traps. I dont know if thats supposed to be apart of the game mechanic but its definitely there.

at least this shit is playable and tournament worthy. In it’s own right lol.

playable yes. Tournament worthy… still to early i fullythink this game can be broke in less than 1 week.

One thing to note is that this is essentially a beta (gamma?) still. If I remember correctly, NRF said they were going to release the game before it was 100%, and then patch it to completion. So, even though the game is not amazing now (but it is stupid fun); it should get better.

P.S. Am I the only one that likes the art-style? I think it looks neat.

I’m having problems installing the game. I get some weird error or pop up window when I try installing the game. Anyone else have that issue?

seriously, this shit is hideous. :lol: in spite of smooth animations (in spots). It doesn’t matter how fluid shit is when you can’t tell what the fuck is going on. And what’s with the EGA-ass backgrounds?

Yea I just opened the disk and went to the setup folder, then copied the folder called “MKV” onto my desktop. Haven’t had any problems running it.

the art style itself is fine IMO. it’s not anything to be wowed at though.

lets not forget the official site also has space left for characters…and the opening that’s with the game has those 2 guys near the end (I assume mid boss/boss?)

also as I’m fooling around with Folo in Training, doing his qcf super. The hitbox actually appears each time.

I don’t understand how as much as necessary gets put into a game this ugly and nobody stops and says “hey, wait a minute. This is pretty horrible. We should do something else.”

The art style is okay, I guess…I’m find some of the char desgins (okay, almost all of the char designs) pretty repugnant. yeah, because I want to see some little girl(or “girl,” since this is MKV)'s panties all the damn time.

Ok I added the patch and after playing for about 5 mins I found a rejump infinite with Virginia. All you do is jump B, wait a slight bit, then C as you come down, repeat. So far it seems to work on tall characters mainly which are Smile and Silfio. On smile you can do a double jump version since I guess he has the biggest hit box in the game atm. So on Smile you can do jump B, wait slightly, C, dj. B, wait slightly, C, repeat. It works both mid-screen and corner. It does require some timing but I find it easier to do on Smile. On Silfio you might have to space your jump in so it can work mid-screen. If you are in too close you’ll end up jumping over him when you press C. They were the only 2 characters I could do a few reps on everyone else is it either whiffed or didn’t combo like it should.

This game is really ugly as hell. Cool music, though.

It shouldn’t be an infinite. This game has the extra-gravity effect on combos (like Fist of the North Star). And so far, it seems like almost all the characters have bounce/rejump/relaunch loops.

Virginia can also loop with almost any (it depends on # of hits in combo) mix of: j.c, j.236b or j.b, j.236a, or 22a/b or 2b, 214a, or j.a, j.v

Otto can loop in the corner with: [2v, j.b xx j.v]x4

I posted loops with Smile and Nobuko earlier in the thread.

I’ll try it in VS mode to see if it works that way. Yea I was able to do some loops with Virginia’s kick special that bounces them off the ground.

lets face it, Virginia rapes with her setups. Plus they’re quite easy to pull off.

though I do enjoy the music, some of it feels so out of place.

Yea I agree on the music feeling out of place. I like the heavy metal sound of the 3rd stage you can pick as you scroll down.

In the corner Yuri can do 5a 5b 5c 214b dash 5b 5c super into [5b 5c 214b dash]x2 or 3 depending on the character.

If you don’t have any meter in the corner you can do 5a 5b 5c 214b dash 5b 5c 214b dash 5b j.b j.b j.c

Also you can double tap her sword summons to get two such as 236a~b 236b~b and 236a~c
The 236 series is also cancellable into themselves up to 3 or 4 times

The 214b can also be used to cancel normals on blocks for more frame advantage.
