BBB did not deserve netplay. The best thing about BBB was the soundtrack and Agito.

There’s plenty of doujin fighters without netplay (QoH series, BBB), or with netplay that sucks so bad it’s not usable in the continental US as it was designed for use within Japan (Monster, Suguri). Honestly the only really netplayable fighters are MBAC, IaMP, SWR, and maybe Blitz and EFZ… maybe.
I’m kind of curious if Hinokakera has netplay though.
It does but i don’t know if its good or bad.
I still maintain that BBB was fun until they patch-raped it.

This is true. I can’t think of a single doujin game with decent built-in netplay. That’s kinda why I think even if MKV gets netplay, it probably wouldn’t be as good as caster. That’s also why I hope some random jpn geek is hype enough to caster MKV. That or bribing Mauve or Trospy would be in order. ; )

All those netplayable games bellreisa mentioned use Caster. Caster is a program that provides netplay support for games that don’t original have netplay. And it’s really good. Better than most commercial games that provide p2p netplay support.
The other great thing about it is that it’s kinda open source. IIRC, as long as you ask the author’s permission and don’t use it for profit, you can use the author’s code to hack netplay into whatever game you want.

There’s a new update on the website. I’m guessing that it says that there’s going to be a big update on the 12th of March. They’re taking their sweet time. : x
this game needs to be released before BB and KOFXII, after them it would be late, all my interest on it would be lost
True. XII and BB provide overbearing competition for MKV, but I think as long as MKV has some decent netplay, people will dick around with it for awhile.
Your post is killing my hype for this game already.

what is this trend I see with characters wearing those white eyepatch things? having pinkeye is not badass.
It’s not from Pinkeye. Usually girls wear after they put on makeup and accidently jabbed themselves in the eye or something with their makeup thing. I think it’s one of those “I work so hard to put on makeup to look good, and even tho I got injured, I’m still here working hard” status symbols rather then it being there 100% for the eye healing factor. Same with those masks, they wear them when they have a cold, but its also saying “I have a cold, yet I’m still at work/school/etc working hard through my illness”.
Hence why it can be seen as hot. Cause only stylish girls put on makeup, so they’re the only ones who really wear it.
Tho, if their eye got gouged out or something, they’ll wear it, too.
