Who changed it? I saw some of the added words into the lexicon of English but nothing about changing the definition of “literally”. I did see it’s in like Stage 3 or so of being accepted as meaning what it doesn’t.
I’m not the biggest Mega Man fan but I do know that Inafune is in the right on this shit and will do right for this series.
The best scenario that could happen is Capcom understanding they fucked up and, instead of wasting more Mega Man titles to potentially fuck up themselves, they should do the right thing and give the franchise rights back to Inafune. I know it won’t happen, but it should.
Wow his company is named capComcept, balls of steel
Also I have to say I’ve always viewed a lot of Megaman fans as an annoying vocal minority constantly complaining. Nice to see I was wrong and a lot of people are down for backing this.
People saying ‘why isn’t Inafune putting money into this’ - consider how far along the game and design is already
The problem is that Capcom is doing more bad than good right now and the people who are doing good on behalf of Capcom (like Wayforward) are people who were doing good shit all along when they aren’t working with Capcom, while Capcom first party stuff and what you would think would be major franchises they pretty much singlehandedly destroy or give to the worst possible candidate to do said game. Remember back in the day when you booted up a game and you heard that Capcom jingle and that logo came into focus and did that little flash and how happy that used to make you? Now every time I start up a game and I see the Capcom logo I feel uncertain and basically come to terms that whatever I’m about to play is going to be a coin toss whether or not I like it.
What most people are trying to get at when they say fuck Capcom is that Capcom has been making a LOT of mistakes. More mistakes than one can ignore or justify. The company has basically resigned its former quality and assurance because they are more focused on making money than making a good game. And of course all business are making money, but funny thing is good games make money. It’s hard to stand by Capcom and what they do when every other game they release is a scam to get more money from you or a half assed attempt for the purpose of selling you a game almost purely based on brand recognition.
900k for a 2D side scroller, on top of the funding they’ve already received from the two companies involved? I don’t know the cost of doing business in Japan, but that seems a bit extreme.
It’s going to be a 2.5D game with 3D models that are supposed to look in line with current gen graphics, so basically they’re going to try to make it look pretty. The pictures on the page are essentially concept drawings of what the game is going to look like.
