Well, I’m off work today, and all I want to do is play fighting games - particularly SSF4. I gave my number to David, and if anyone else wants it, let me know and I’ll send it via PM. I’m also keeping the thread open, so as long as the computer doesnt get hijacked or the internets don’t crash (again), I should be in touch.
Oh, and my Xbox is refusing to play discs with even the slightest scratches on them. Joy!
Oh, and since I’m here, I should talk about GG ranbats some more.
Here’s what I’ve got so far: my assistant manager, Matt, heard the idea and was open to it as a way to bring in some more business during the slower hours. The cool thing is, if we can get just our crew out there to eat and play for a couple of hours - even if we don’t do anything more than casuals - then we’ll be set up to do cooler stuff later. Thing is, we’ll have to settle for some pretty iffy hours at first, just to show them that we can pull this thing off without a hitch. They won’t risk high-volume hours for something like this just yet, especially since the restaurant is fairly new. So, I’m predicting a weekday, probably between about 2-5.
There are TVs all over GG, and we can hook up to any of them. None of them are in the best places, though, so I have an idea for bringing in a TV and moving a couple of tables. It’ll be just a little crowded, but if they’re up for it, it’ll give us room to play and customers can still get around. Worst case, we can definitely make a GG setup work.
It costs about 10 bucks to buy a bowl of food up there, but it’s awesome and completely worth it. Remember that we have to make this worth their while too. It’ll be worth if for everyone if we can just make a couple small sessions go by smoothly. I just had the idea of trip-to-Evo as a possible grand prize for a future event that could definitely get widespread attention. Hmmm…

The guys from lubbock have hooked us up with 2 ASUS monitors. So if we indeed do have room for tvs, we got em. so, with the those coming that bring the total up to about 11. things are looking good. now if we can all get hype and make some noise while we are there this really work out.
