Dallas is hosting a tourney called Bar Fights January 13th. I think it’s in this thread somewhere. Anyway, me and shin and going and anyone who feelings like getting better at their game should definately go. Bucktooth is from the area and will more than likely be there.

Hey check it out - I work at a place called Genghis Grill in Midland, and it’s got a bar and a bunch of TVs. I talked to one of my managers about having a “Bar Fights” kind of thing there, and they’re interested. It could be a ranbat, a tournament, or even just some casuals.
It may not start off as much, but if we all show up and bring a few people, we might have a new way to dig up the other players in our area, and then, who knows? It’s sure to be a good time even if it never takes off. How rad if it DID take off though…
Anyway, I don’t want to get into the logistics too much yet - just want to see what kind of interest we have first.
Oh, and… anyone down to play tomorrow after about 5?

But yeah, you’ve got the right idea. We should take advantage of it while we’ve got the offer. I’m going to tell my bosses that I talked to “my guys” and that, yes, we’re all down to come out and have an event. Remember, they’re trying to pick up a little business during some of their slower hours, so for anyone that comes out, please be ready to buy food. But don’t worry, it’s effin’ rad food - just ask Chairman and Bryan (sorry, I can’t remember his SRK tag, heh).
Ok, I don’t know where to start. First off im down to play today, someone let me know where its going to be at. Commencing rambling, and im not going to spiff this up with quotes.
Shenlongbo, if you could get the date set later rather than sooner I think it would be better. It would give us a chance to promote and hopefully have a bigger turnout. I could tell some guys I met from Lubbock and they could bring their scene, stuff like that.
On a side note, I drove to midland for two days in a row just to eat at Ghengis Grill and actually passed up going to Bushidos the second time. GG is too good. And “GG” is a little too perfect. We could have “GG” tournaments eating some “GG” bowls and having “GG” games all around. IDK where I’m going with that…
I guess I can get the Dallas thing out of the way. It’s on the 13th of Jan. and it’s a part of a series of tournaments that lead up to the big shabang of Absolute Battle 2k11. For anyone that doesn’t know, they had some stars show up last time (besides bucktooth) such as SANFORD KELLY (my fav, he convinced me to pick up that wench cammy), YFC YIPES (Yeah, motherfuckin Yipes was there) and BURNYOURBRA was there (she was on the evo stream alot in the womens tourney, got second place!). This should be the focus of us local tournament goers to get better. Anyone who wants to go just shoot me a txt (432-664-0191) and me and Shin will work on arrangements.

We’d love to get ranbats up and going again. We just need players. I’m sure if the shindig at GG leaves a good impression we could start hosting them there. Can’t really do any in-advance planning on that idea just yet.
