Works for me. Ctrl+C,X,V,Z,Y,ALT+DEL all work. And I don’t know about a day 1 patch, but the entire download was over 2GB.
I had a screen shot somewhere but I can’t seem to find it at the moment but that’s about as genius as an error message I got in Vista that said “ERROR UNRESPONSIVE PROGRAM IS UNRESPONSIVE”.
I’m still waiting for my notification that Windows 10 is even ready.

The only problem with that is that’s upgrade only. If you want to clean install with it, you have to wait.
I’d do the upgrade, but my system drive is 40GB. With Win7 leaving me with a paltry 12GB, the thing doesn’t have enough room to install, as apparently part of the process is to backup your current OS files, so I’m stuck waitin’ on the thing to give me the product key so I can clean install.
I think I had about 69 GB out of 258 before the upgrade, and I have about 53 after, so if there was anything backed up, it wasn’t much.
Next weekend I might try the upgrade on my wife’s PC. It’s running windows 8.1 and we both hate it anyway.
Damn right it’s a trap. Windows 10 could be WindowsME in disguise. And yes I never forgot about your sorry ass even 15 years later.

I kept Windows 7 on my desktop but I upgraded from Windows 8.1 for my Laptop. Well, I like 10 better than 8.
win 10 has a really cozy look. that’s all i can say about it so far.
Its finished install may only change that much. However, it needs to essentially duplicate your OS temporarily, so you basically need space to have the original OS installed twice, then enough room to install the new OS so it can delete the copy of the old one. The end footprint fits fine, but not the space required to go through the install process.
is win10 gonna be forever free to w7 owners? looking to stick with w7 until KI is out because apparently KI will require win10
