There’s a variety. One was patching memory really badly, which was like doing precision brain surgery without bothering to look at the brain. That shit worked by accident. Otherwise the problem is that the Styles files are bound by OS version, so every point release has needed changes. Hacked Styles files would thus omit key resources, sometimes breaking the system. Huge thorny problem area if you try to do it that way.
No tried updating the drivers this morning but still nothing and all the suggestions on the trouble shooting come up lame. Will check the printer website tomorrow. Frankly I am almost so sick with it to try and see if my old printer from 8 years ago will work.
With any device boot up 90% more power and system resources are used than when the machine is already turned on and running idle.
More so with every app and program running at startup, including anything in the background or sys tray, and the start up sound is an addition to that
Getting rid of start up animations and sounds on newer versions of Windows was done to make the OS more efficient.
The Windows OS loading screen is more than enough fanfare needed.
btw…i’ll assume microsoft is giving up on windows phones. at least so i hear. i think theyll be discontinued.
and…
i got sick and tired of having to log in via either password or other way every time i booted up my windows tablets or desktop.
here is how to disable the required log in by win10
now thats so much less hassle. no one views my devices so its okay.
basically,
hit windows key, type netplwiz in search bar. click your user account when it pops up above the search bar. uncheck the box that says “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.” hit apply, type in your account password one more time in the box that pops up. hit ok
done!
Happy new year! Yeah, apparently my printer was never supported for Windows 10. Checked online, Lexmark had only driver support for Windows 8 which MS most recent update apparently stopped recognizing in the most recent Windows update. So the older printer will also be no good, checked that one was not supported either and I need a brand new printer.
There’s two different window frames in use, mostly. Modern apps can work with transparency effects. Win32 apps (Firefox) would have to do their own thing at this time. There’s no current built-in/native support for it for Win32.
Sorry for the delay: wanted to check in with my friend who would be writing this code if it had happened/would happen to make sure I knew where things were at.
u can get a brand new canon pixma printer for 40 bucks on ebay.
you do drill holes in the ink containers for refilling ink like a reasonable fellow dont you? i hope so.
So there supposed to be a patch soon for every OS, Windows, Mac OS, Linux, ect.
There apparently a huge ass flaw (Meltdown) in the hardware of every Intel CPU made in at least the past ten years that allows anyone to get in your system from the kernel level.
[Edit]
Also their a 2nd bug (Spectre) that attacks the Kernel on all CPUs, Intel, AMD and ARM.
AMD and ARM processors have to already have to have something on the local hardware to take advantage.
Just heard about it. Spectre is far worse than original thought since it affect ALL computer tech from the last 20 years because of a the way processors are structured. the only know fix for it is to actually wait for an entirely new processor design. Like thats some super bad shit straight up.
