doesnt matter to me, game still looks like shit. Just cuz its clear doesnt mean it looks good. Game looks ugly just like that new fist of the north star game does.
I was interested in getting that game when it hits the import consoles…is it really that bad? How does it play? Any vids around? I couldn’t find any. I’ve only seen screenshots.
Hanzo and Fuuma are poorly animated…The game is decent, but in todays day and age, it looks severly dated. I’ll wait for KoF XI.
there are fist of the northstar vids up on the gfb hub right now. And snk games are a lot of fun, but still look like crap, i just played a ton of kofXI in cali last week, and as good as the game is (and it is a lot of fun, gameplay is good, but still a little choppy), the animations are horrible, sprites look decent though. But seriously, why not just play a man’s game like CvS2 anyway and not worry about the crappy graphics? :wgrin:
Edit: my comments are based on what i have seen in videos and in KoFXI, havent played NGBC, but i can’t imagine it looks beter than KoFXI, that wouldn’t make any sense

because a ‘man’s game’ like CvS2 has major balance issues. I’m not saying it’s not fun at all, but damn, Haohmaru’s FP is just stupidly strong. And that’s just one point. In any case, it seems that FNG hosts more games that seem to have more balance, from what I’ve experienced (but then again, how much FNG have I ever experienced?).
In any case, yeah Robo, I’d love an avatar. I’m sure Toppercool would like one too, even though he’s the ‘Silent Bob’ of us two. :bgrin:

You say that like its a bad thing. Everyone likes what they like. Calling it fanboyism is just another way of belittlling someone for speaking up. I could understand being labled a fanboy if I were calling people fags or sh*t-heads because they disagreed with my/our taste, but I haven’t seen anyone (here) do that yet.
I think that distinction is undeserved, and somewhat insulting.

True Robo, but the characters in KoF XI all fit the overall feel. The roster in NGBC has no theme whatsoever. Shermie looks so out of place without her other team members, its ridiculous. Mr. Big? Guess they can do that when the game doesn’t have a plot…

Game looks horrible to me, do some long ass combo till there stars are gone then instnat kill them the next round. Looks really boring, and a lot of the stuff in the game looks exstremly corny. I dunno I guess techinquly I havnt played it, but from all the videos ive seen it looks dum.

Character selection was also weird and required a time machine to put them all in one place just as NGBC…however people felt comfortable with the roster.

Don’t forget KOF94 didn’t have a plot-it was just a dream match, like CvS, Fighting Jam, Smash Bros, and now, Neo Geo Battle Colosseum. The whole concept to this game is to take characters from a bunch of SNK franchises on the neo geo, and throw them together-it’s almost like a celebration of the platform. The fact that the game plays well solidifies the concept.
NGBC already emulated. Mugen characters will soon follow.

They can rip the sprites off of the PS2 version, if that’s what you mean.
