To be fair, humans CAN be involved, but they should be the accessory. It should be a transformer story with humans involved, not a human story with giant robots involved.
The worst TF was made during the big writer’s strike. A lot of Hollywood productions suffered from crappy writing during that time period. The military characters were fine, the problem was always Sam and his idiot parents/friends/girlfriends… and the first two movies treating Transformers as props instead of characters. TF 3 was a step in the right direction (after the Sam job hunting/dumbest mystery ever segments were done with) that TF4 hopefully follows.
geeking
Quick glance he looks like a re-imagined version of the OG Death’s Head Yes who first appeared in Transformers as a bounty hunter and apparently has popped up in Ironman semi-recently Yes. DH1 & 2 are best ever for me. I’m still geeking over the temp revival of the MArvel UK characters. I think DH2 is actually next weeks release.
Since you have all seen the trailer, you know what Optimus Robot mode is going to look like. However, there are hints that he may actually have 2 different models in the movie. There is a chance there may be some G1 Inspired connections in Transformers 4!:
Spoiler
The robot mode (promo art for a Walmart Stand). It’s small, but you can tell it’s a cleaaaaaaaaaaaar difference from the new one since the window pane chest is there. However the coloration is different.
Just watched the teaser. This might not be a bad movie!
Also Grimlock is fucking titanic LOL, I was totally right about Cybertronian < Primitive Cybertronians/Humans < Dinosaurs. Wild mass guesses though.
Takara does have the Masterpiece line. It would be basically taking the G1 toy and re-creating it with today’s engineering. The level of detail is no where close to some of Bandai’s products. There are also 3rd party companies that are doing unlicensed versions of characters as well. You may want to pop in the TF thread. You’ll see a lot more of the “higher end” stuff that’s coming out in there as well.
That gun mode a few seconds into the trailer is definitely reminiscent of Galvatron’s tripod gun mode from G1. Megs had three movies…please let the stronger, more brutal Galvatron step up, please. Looking forward to watching this on Netflix in a year or so.
