Honestly, I like to spend as I go so people like me might get turned off by this. I’m sure first timers at the arcade might be as well if they only want to try out the place. But I’m guessing you guys have no control over this…
Last week I was in arizona at castle and coasters. They have a card system similar to P1’s the only difference is that you can charge the cards all around the place.
Dem-Dem we do have recharging stations for our cards (2 of them) called “Portal One ATMs” that you can recharge your card but just not purchase; if that helps.
SmF and Tension, most places that use card systems usually charge either a minimum or a card fee for the purchase of new cards. Thought process for it is more for the long term. =T
EDIT: I also forgot to mention, point cards can be shared between any number of ppl if you guys had friends with you and wanted to chip in. Just another alternative/thought.
once you get 3s up and runnin it will be all good… cause i think ppl will come around more often!

Haunts, I doubt that VF5 is on our current radar. We’ve had more requests for Tekken and I’d be interested in us looking into ggxx: ac. However we will have to look at all possibilities and see what’s within our reach. No promises on anything, but the louder you guys scream at us to get a game, the higher the possibility we will try and get it for you guys.
I just like to say ggs to the guys from Seattle and San Diego that came out during the holiday season. Always good to see how people from outside our area play.
Any word on 3rd Strike?
How much will your company pay for a Japanese version of 3rd strike? mine requires no CD rom, just the mother board and cartridge.

**What!? 3rd Strike is not up yet!? If this arcade is looking to be taken serious it has to have “multiple” cabinets of 3rd Strike(Ver. A), CVS2, Tekken 5: DR, MVC2 & Guilty Gear’s latest version. Big tournaments at least 3-4 time a year is a must. What’s this about a $5 minimum? Man thats just asking for failure, some of the good players only spend about $1-2 dollars per visit and having top players play at your arcade brings the whole community. That $5 minimum has to go if this arcade is to be successful with the fighting game community.
On a different note I’d be willing to help with tournaments once 3rd Strike is up and running. I really want to see this arcade become what it has the potential of being.**

l3et9jdh: Thanks for the 3s board offer but I doubt that the arcade is going to purchase another 3s in the immediate future. Maybe later on thought. (side note, if i wasn’t broke, I would’ve tried to buy it from you). We actually have quite a few ppl that come and play just at times it’s really sporatic. Also thanks for the OCE link been curious about them for some time.
CPS IV: I know exactly what you mean about the games we need but being privately/semi-corporately run at times there’s a lot of red tape and such to cross. We get what we can and believe me I’m continuing to do my best to get the games people want. Thanks for the offer to help, suggestions and encouragement. I too would like P1 to live up to it’s potential.

GG’s to all the gamers that came and played. I was most pleased to have played everyone there and see that everyone one of them had their own unique style.
Also I want to thank those for holding the tournament and the hosts, because without any of you guys, none of this would be possible.
However, I still feel that (2nd player side’s lk., mk. died on me several times thru out the match, and I noticed earlier in the day that alot of people complained about the side.) Hopefully next time there will be a tech there, and win or lose, everyone can go home knowing they did everything they could without feeling limited.
Thanks again, and hopefully you peeps will take a trip to fresno sometime.
YES! i new it. I was playing in casual play after the tourney and I new it felt wierd when those two buttons lk,mk didn’t come out every time. I new it wasnt just me. that proves it. I told goten about it just before i left he said he would check it out.

Yes, definitely, if you guys notice any thing that may be wrong with the buttons and what not, let us know. If I had known about the complaints earlier I would have put in new switches for those buttons right then. I’m sorry for that. =T
Side note: I just want to point out a little trivia with our CvS2 tournies. We haven’t had the same person nor same groove win consecutive tournies.
Just a heads up. This Saturday Jan. 20th; P1 will be closing at 4pm due to a private event that will be taking place in the venue.
Just a reminder P1 is closing at 4pm today for a Private Event.
Also P1 will be opening about 630pm on Friday Jan. 26th, due to another Private Event earlier in the day.
