hey is 3s up yet? im at my cousins house on fulsom. Metreon is about 2 blocks from me. Im from So-cal, play at FFA and am lookin for some Nor-cal action. dont have time to travel 40 miles to Sunnyvale. Anyway, if anyone wants to recommend a 3s place to me, let me know. ill be here til tues.

Well I gotta say, I walked thru P1 and was a bit disappointed. Cabinets are pretty nice, actually very nice. Sticks are switch, could be 360’s, but felt fine.
Anyway, the biggest thing was there is a $5 minimum to play?? I went in there with money to kill time. I only wanted to spend $1, like most normal SRK’ers, $1 will last a long time if there is weak comp. But when trying to get a play card, the guy who works there says its a $5 min. Weak.
My cousins place (whom I will visit often) is less then 2 blocks away, so that would be an aweome place to play and kill time. But im not about to fork out $5 when I only want to get in a game or two, or when im tired from walking aroudn Union Square.
Anyway, get 3s in there, and make no limit on cards… would be a nice place. And how much are games? like CVS2? $.50 ?
Same thing happen to me. I just wanted to play a quick game or two before I go home today. They told me it was 5 bucks min…gay.
Understandably so that the $5 min. can be pretty crappy, but in it’s defense, that card (if you buy points i.e. $5 card) does not have to be spent all at one time/day. you can use that card whenever. So if you only want to play a couple games and bounce, you can always use the card on your next visit.
It’s also encouraged to continue to use and recharge the same card. Once you have a game card, there is NO MINIMUM to recharge your card. If you know you may be dropping by another time in the future, just hold onto the card you bought (unless it’s a time play/hourly card, then that’s different).
And most of the fighters range from .50-.75 depending on the day and time. Prices are discounted before 5pm Mon-Fri.
Very true, if your willing to fork up $40, then you’ll get a $32 bonus(friggin $72 in a card, almost doubles your value), that’s a quite a bit games for quite a long time :tup: :tup: :tup: :tup:
I barely spend over $1.50 @ SFSU when I go down there.
I mean yeah I’m gonna eventually spend $5.00 but I don’t really like having $5.00 gone right away when I know I’m not gonna use it all in 1 day.
