Any album recommendations from Death Angel?

The Ultra-Violence, and Relentless Retribution

…Yes, I do have a thing for woman-fronted metal. What makes you ask?

Throwbaaaaaack

Was looking deeper in my music folder and found this again:

Check out Izegrim

The best metal band with a woman ever is by far Bolt Thrower. There is no competition, no excuses, no mosh, no core, no trends. Bolt Thrower exist to crush the false and put their heads on sticks. Karl Willets is one of the best metal vocalists ever too.

Holy shit… I was speaking more along the lines of bands with women who sing, but these’ll make a nice addition to my playlist too.

I really like Dracena. Their sound is like old school death metal sound with a folk-ish tint. And for their first album the frontwoman did almost everything except drums. She’s very metal. Love her vocals.
So here’s some more

Chris Broderick and Shawn Drover’s new band stuff:

Man, this thread has given me better music recommendations than any actual “metal news site” has the last few months!

First up, latest from The Black Dahlia Murder. The usual stupidly-fast Melo-death awesomeness. I’m already hype for the new album.

Second, another video from a band I shared a couple pages ago: Light Bringer. Basically J-pop-ish power metal done right. Have I mentioned I love this woman’s voice?

Woah… Black Dahlia coming with new stuff? Looking forward to it.

Found this guy’s stuff on a youtube journey.
One of his other projects, Ayreon, is pretty awesome if you’re into concept albums.

Some Italian melodeath (with maybe some kind of industrial elements?) from a band I never really gave a fair chance to initially

some thrash

some brutal thrash

The band members are intended to be secret, but it’s known that Ghoul members are from Impaled, Exhumed and others.

The band was started to show the members’ appreciation for old school crossover style thrash metal.

Recently got Spotify so I’ve been searching out discographies like crazy.

Amorphis, Battlecross, In Flames, Soilwork, Dark Tranquility, Yngwie Malmsteen, Nightwish, The Black Dahlia Murder, Trivium, to name a few.

Hoping Blind Guardian gets the rest of their albums up. I’m kinda over torrenting shit lately. =/

Edit: Whoever chose the Motorhead stuff on here is a jackass. My top 40 destroys these best ofs. >:)

sounds very much like old-school Death/Chuck. Someone uploaded the album:

Liked this band more than I thought I would. I’ll try to throw up some of the other video’s I took during that show when I get the chance.

You can see me most of this video, filming, in the bottom left (black hat, orange brim/bill, Sepultura tattoo on my right arm). Headbanging quite poorly, I might add. Every time you see me looking left or right, I’m looking for chicks.

Check the tiny broad in the white wifebeater. She was absolutely wrecking dudes in the pits, it was awesome. I felt bad shoving her into the middle (well, the first few shoves, at least).

edit: This was probably one of the craziest shows I’ve been to. Some random chick got on stage during right after the video I just linked, and none of security really seemed to know, and she basically started singing along with the singer.

Dudes were just getting on stage, and security had like zero fucking clue what to do with any of them. So they just stage dived. Saw a lot of dudes break their glasses stage diving or in the pits. A LOT of dudes. Tons of idiots getting dropped on their heads. One dude dropped a guy, and some Lou Ferrigno looking security ran up and started trying to give the guy shit, and stupidly chose the middle of a mosh pit to do this, in the middle of a song (ie - he got obliterated moments later). All of the security guards were dudes who worked security for dance clubs and shit, I saw the look on one guys face (the dude you see under the speaker on the far left of the stage in the video) when the first band started playing, and it immediately made my $40 ticket worth it.
