Well maybe thats my problem with it, it is now more than ever when Snake should be bruff and hardboiled. Especially going into PP hes lost everything, MSF is gone, one of his boys have betrayed him, hes comming out of a coma with his body trashed etc Hard to imagine him suddenly being all chirpy after that shit.
If it was a remake of MG id be down for sutherland to be SS and hayter keeping to BB but theres little subtle things about the new VA i dont like. Also in MGS4 SS was on the point of death and they had a new VA for BB so yea theres that.
VA nonsense aside, how many of you guys think that Eli is gonna turn out to be Liquid?
Am hoping its true, Liquid needed more game time, hes the only character I would be down with getting his own side game, as technically the most powerful snake and obviously the most fashionable am down with this nigga getting some love.
Yeah I mean pretty much the instant Eli appeared in the trailer I was like “Yeah I bet that’s Liquid,” even without delving into the mythos too deep. Would actually be more surprised if it ISN’T him.
I see this as a distinct possibility. Metal Gear has been increasingly about “villains” being sympathetic figures. Snake Eater/Peace Walker really put Big Boss into better perspective for how he’s perceived later in the timeline. Elaborating and fleshing out Liquid’s motives and what he was really all about sounds good to me. And Liquid is the most physically capable of the clones, so he’ll be badass AF.
And whoever theorized that Chico would become a mute transgender sniper needs to kill themselves. That’s NOT going to happen.
well put! I think it would work out better than a Boss game in the canon since so much of the story hinges on her being the moral compass and it would be necessary to reveal more of her flaws to make a whole game out of her. Whereas with Liquid everyone knows his flaws but few wouldn’t love a chance to have him in a more sympathetic light.
plus his coming of age years already have a bit of backbone to them. British special forces on his way to commander of Foxhound. Ripe territory imo
and need I mention how popular anti heros are lately?
If you havent touched a MGS title before GZ might possibly be the worst one to pick up. Chronologically its a bit of a mess but grabbing the HD collection is defo the way to go, MGS 2, 3 then PW and that sets you up perfectly for GZ.
After playing GZ to death and putting everything into perspective id give that shit a 5/10 if am perfectly honest man, just too damn short to give you a taste of real MGS.
