You wish, their is nothing wrong with Keifer, Hayter’s voice acting was azz in the last couple of metal gears.
Hayter was fine, especially when you consider that Old Snake has the body of a 70+ year old man, and Big Boss was a chain cigar smoker for 20+ years. But I still haven’t passed full judgement on Keifer yet.

Old Snake gets a semi pass since it made sense from a story perspective. Big Boss sounding like he was struggling to just speak everytime he talked gets no pass.

Hey, Keifer was fine in Phone Booth and that was essentially Voice Acting.
Let Hayter be Solid Snake, let Sutherland be Big Boss. Hayter’s best job was his first. After that he’s been on a steady decline. I don’t have any hatred towards the guy but if he was doing a good job, he would still be voicing Big Boss but he’s not. Kojima would have kept him if he was satisfied with his performance. I swear sometimes if Hayter pulled out his d*** and asked his fanboys to suck it, they would do it without hesitation and be like “oh David your snake is so solid” smh. Give Keifer a chance until after TPP released.
jack bauer is doing just fine. dont see a problem. I think we had enough hayter by now. he’s REALLY good but him not voicing BB isn’t a deal breaker.

Hayter’s voice slowly declined after mgs1, and that should be agreed upon by everyone. Then in 4 it just hit the fan.
Hayters voice is now synonymous with MGS, that is a fact. Playing through GZ there is a couple of scenes where I go “oh shit its like watching fucking 24!”. It will take time to get used too and am sure keifer will do another decent job in PP but the fact remains, hes no hayter and if your an avid fan of the franchise at the very least its strange hearing the Snake talk in an altogether new and distinctively different voice.
Oh and the end of GZ, the helicopter scene with Paz, Keifer basically bombs the whole scene, its very apparent at that part its a new VA to the point of taking away from the scene. People will deal with it, it doesnt fundamentally change the game but the offset is definately there. Kojima should have went out of his way to make Hayter stay, no disrespect to Kief as he is also another legend.

If Hayter was completely unavailable (dead or somehow voiceless for the sake of argument), Keifer would be the best choice of people I can think of to replace him. We’ve just all grown up with Hayter as Snake for 15 years now. For English speaking audiences, he is and always will be Snake.
Also if I can talk out of my ass for a second… for anyone thats heard Hayter speak you can tell there’s a distinct difference between his normal speaking voice and when he’s doing Snake, whereas Keifer’s Snake kinda just sounds like Keifer always sounds. But I guess one can argue Keifer embodies Snake more 
Haha i wanted to like, agree and lol at your post but you only get the like sadly. I think Sutherland does a decent job with it am just talking about perspective. And your dead on the money, Hayter acted Snake where as Keifer just kinda talks Snake. My only gripe with Keifer was the helicopter scene due to being just off, when he goes emotional it sounded not only different from how Hayter would do it, but also different from Keifers normal tone throughout the rest of the game. Maybe its because apart from the Guyver movie i havent seen or heard of Hayter outside of MGS and his shitty Xmen script, but Keifer (in that one moment) sounded like end of season 1 24, i kinda just shook my head and moved on.
I was too discombobulated after the clit-bomb part to even notice Snake’s voice in that scene. I only noticed his voice the most from the tapes.
Yet, I had more of a gripe with why you have Paz still talking with an Colombian accent when she already exposed herself when try to steal ZEKE.
Eh, being caught in hard mode is way more annoying than listening to Keif’s voice acting or lack there of.
Oh, and I hope Kojima puts an option in PP to tell KAZ to shut the hell up during replays.
