You had to beat them all the way they intended for you to beat them for the most part… it’s strange how something of made using lesser technology has less glitches than something more powerful…
MGS1s bosses arn’t exactly hard either tho and a lot of them can only be done the one way because you only have one option. It’s not like you have a plethora of options when you go against Ocelot, or the Hind D in MGS1. You have options with Wolf who you can snipe or you can Nakita Missle her (which makes her piss easy by the way). Raven has a ton of a options and you can run circles around that fool with a combination of Claymores and Stingers.
Most everyone else puts you in a situation where you only have the one option. Your far too strapped to do much of anything against Ocelot so your only option is to shoot him. The Tank has only one weak spot specifically designed for the Grenade system in the game so that’s your only option. Your Liquid fight has to be a fist fight.
So yea MGS1s bosses have less exploits generally because you have WAY less options when going into battle. The ones that do give you options are like MGS4s. Piss easy and super exploitable.
so, common theory im seeing posted is that the game starts with MGS4 outfit raiden fighting the black haired ninja, he loses, gets his arm cut off (as seen in the e3 footage). is picked up and fixed (make it right trailers) then comes back, giving the revenge/vengeance theme
MGS4 was just funny at times…the camosuit…just tap triangle once and Snake leans against the wall, becoming a 6 foot tall stack of bricks in the shape of a person. Soldier walks up, looks right at you, shrugs, walks away. Stealthy!
You forgot Psycho Mantis. If you didn’t know the controller port trick, you could should the statue heads so he stops reading your mind.
Anyways, as for MGR I hope the ending is snake waking up from a bad dream and a codec call to otacon explaining the weird dream. It would be around mgs2 time and Otacon would just explain that it was the Patriots trying to control his brain patterns…
not really, just kojima tends to pull some crazy shit out of his ass… i don’t have high expectations for this game being a good entry in the MGS catalog, but I do have high expectations for it being made by platinum games
But what makes you think the story will be bad? Platinums not penning it, Kojima Productions is. Not that this means the story will be good, but it certainly gives it a better chance then if Platinums writers where on it lol. (I totally dig Bayo’s narrative tho)
The last i heard was that all the enemies will be cyborgs just like raiden built with the same technology so everyone is at super human strength. From the most recent trailer today, some guy dies, now the whole world has gone wrong??? Eh…
Revenge always makes a story more fun but it would be nice to see if the story will have good character development. Like i said before, I’m just not getting my hopes up.
