I loved Metal Gear Solid 4. I’ve played every Metal Gear game (except the GBC one, and not for lack of trying), and MGS4 is my favorite Metal Gear game (in fact, it’s my favorite video game of all time). The game gives so many nods to hardcore Metal Gear fans like myself, and it a ton of fun of play. As far as the story goes, I kind of equate it to Evangelion in that to really understand it, one had to spend a lot of time reading back story outside the game, and when one does, one really appreciates how excellent that aspect of the game is: a common complaint is how “convoluted” the story is. If one does his/her homework, the story not only is understandable, but really, really, deep.
If there was a fire at my apartment and I had to run out with just what I can carry, it would be my laptop, my cat, my Drunken Master DVD (original dub version), and Metal Gear Solid 4.
Now about the new MGR trailer: I like what I see, and although I still would like a traditional MG game, this game isn’t going to ruin the MG universe I love, so I’m not going to shit on it for being different.
Dont know why yall hating on the high heels so much, I dont even notice em.
That being said motha fukin Prince wears high heels cutting shit up with his guitar, so I dont see a problem with Raiden cutting shit up with his blades.
I look at it as like cleats are to football, footing. it’s digs into the cement. a guy that strong would need good and stable footing to launch gears and shit.
it’s a minor detail but skinny jeans on another hand…
Snake Eater is my favourite but MGS1 and 2 were amazing I think people hated the surprise Raiden was in the 2nd game and they subconsciously hate him just for that. How do I know this? Personal experience…
They are scrubs because when you play Raiden in MGS4 via Metal Gear Online it takes multiple melee attacks unless you go for the stab which has more start up. Peeps need to actually check the games they play before criticizing stuff.
Gotta find a way to put Portable Ops in on that list. How do you compete against MGS3 and The Boss? By showing why the legend became THE BIG BOSS.
I must say I am a bit disappointed and relived that Konami showed off the Rising stuff early. I want to say more but the news will have to wait till tuesday!
All I’m hoping for as far as news is that this game doesn’t pull a Ninja Gaiden 3 and focus soley on this sword. I know I saw the spear weapon but Raiden could stand to have a few other melee weapons equipable at any time. Snake has his guns, Raiden has his bladed thingies.
I’m sure it is very deep, sadly Ninja Gaiden 3 was such a disappointment that the earliest trailers exposed how empty the game was gonna be. MGR was like a star being born from the very first trailer platinum released.
Team Ninja is not allowed to be compared to Platinum Games ever since Itagaki left. As crazy as that man is, they have never been the same since his departure.
