If they go on the main list, that means the are games players should attempt to learn. I don’t think WHP or BR, garner that attention
Breakers and WHP are fun, but they should be side games.

WHP and Breakers do warrent the attention. Because they are excellent. Last Blade 2 is terrible. Sam Sho 5 is terrible.
Edit - you dont have to agree with my list. Thats why its my list. But putting Last Blade 2 on your list with a bunch of good games is an affront to fighting game players everywhere!

I thought you liked SS. Why the hate, LB is excellent.
I love Tenka and 5 special, but 5 is bad. Last Blade 2 is riddled with problems and I’ve always hated it. I ran LB2 in my UFGT tournaments in 2k1 and 2k2, and aquired my distaste for it then.
I read half of the ban list for lB2 once and cried because it made my head hurt. It is a fun ass game imo and it looks damn sexy. It’s kinda like Garou plus SS to me.
There is a great difference here.
Akuma in ST is a very hidden character who is MADE broken. This is the equivalent of picking Omega Rugal in the home port of KOF 98.
But Kain and Grant in MOTW? Toned down, playable in the arcade, and far from being the best characters in the game. Same for the bosses in NGBC(well, not Goodman, but he’s not playable in the arcade anyway). SNK has been historically good about not making the true, broken bosses player characters in their arcade versions, just the home ones…and those are the characters that get historically banned in tournaments.
I also want to complain about people wanting an Evo style event for SNK games, or SNK games in evo. It’s simple- there isn’t going to be SNK in evo until there’s a strong enough scene in the country to warrant it. SNK players traveling around to tournaments, actively trying to improve in games instead of banning the shit they don’t like and then not going outside their local area, and all that fun stuff. I remember some years back there were plans to run SNK tourneys on the side at Evo by some guys. Shitload of posts on here of people all excited, and in the end like 10 showed up. YOU HAVE TO DO BETTER.
I’d agree in only focusing on good SNK fighters and popular ones. MOTW, NGBC, and KOF XI are good options. 98 is great, as is 2k2, and Sam Sho Special may well be the best fighter they put out in years, but no one can fucking play it. Personally given the option I’d run Sam Sho 2 over Tenka simply for quality’s sake, but hell, that game’s been around for-fucking ever.
People aren’t banning because they are bosses. They are banning because they are broken.
No one bans the bosses in SSVSP. Why? They’re mid tiers at best. Amakusa’s the best of the bunch, and I put him at flat mid, and people say I overrate him.
The reason LB2 has so much banned shit, is because the game is that bad.
No one bans Geese and Krauser in RB2 despite them being bosses, because while Geese is top tier (I rate him #2), there are counter picks and they don’t completely dominate anyone.
Quite simply, we should be worried about UM Geese. Double shippuken could be hella broke. THe other reason it won’t be as bad- is that there is a regular version of Geese avaliable that will be fine. Also, no one is saying ban before seeing how he turns out- they’re saying “he may need a ban if what we fear is true”
Get the difference right.

And yeah, World Heroes Perfect is a fantastic game, love it to hell and back.

Well Sam Sho special kicks ass. And I’m really hoping it gets put on the upcoming Samurai Shodown compilation for PS2, because that’s a game that really needs a wider audience.
But yeah, I don’t see any reason to ban Oswald’s unblockable…those things are allowed in other games. And if Last Blade 2 is so damn broken, don’t ban characters and shit…just don’t play the game in tournaments. I hear the first one was the better game tourneywise, run that shit instead.
I skip one day on SRK and I find this. I have a lot to say, but I’m fucking tired so I’ll argue my points later after sleep.
One thing I will say right now is that if you don’t play tournament KOF XI then you really shouldn’t be talking about unbanning Oswald’s unblockable on an opponent after a down.
I was waiting for you to show up. Yeah that’s the only reason I would ban that unbockable, I’d allow any other time tough.
