You can say all you want about how young the SNK community is… blah blah… There’s a reason why the Arcana community, the Guilty Gear community, and the Melty Blood community have all managed to become much bigger than the SNK community in much less time. Besides all that, he has played the Triad in several mm’s already and tourney matches, so I don’t really see how you can claim he hasnt put his money/rep where his mouth is (in the past, even if he does talk alot.)
Again, nobody stepped up to organize the SNK scene until 2 years ago.
GG community has had a player base since GGX, which came out in 2000. Arcana’s main base was built mostly off of GG and doujin players. I wouldn’t say Melty Blood is that much bigger than SNK.

i severely doubt that a lot of the communities mentioned can come up with three hundred on a whim. the economy’s in a slump, people…
also arturo said it best, really, the tournament results should speak volumes above the whole exhibition / mm thing. consistent results is a little more impressive in that regard, at least to me.
The games have been out for a lot longer, though. That’s the point Havoc is getting at. The fact that the community is just now getting it together just proves his point. SNK had a headstart on the GG/doujin game communities and it still hasn’t gotten as far as they have because the people in the community itself are holding it back.
