Hmm, you might want to try just copying the installation stuff from the ReACT installer cd and running the extractor from your HD as opposed to cd, instead. I did that, and installed the ReACT files into the same folder as the MB stuff, and everything worked perfectly for me thereafter.
BTW, if any of you guys need patches for MB or MB:Re, i have the english patch + character unlock for MB and the latest patch for ReAct (changes to 2.004). So if you can’t find those files online, or are having difficulty navigating through the websites, pm/aim me for the files.
Thanks to everyone who put up with me and my pesky pms that probably clogged up their inboxes trying to get ReAct to work.
The extra chars aren’t in that patch you have to download the unlocker patch. But even then the extra characters aren’t complete yet so most of them only have a few moves, or can’t dash, or other wierd shit.
Ok this game is awesome i must confess, but why are the char sprites so pixilated and the backgrounds so beautiful? I have a 17 inch flat screen LCD and at 1024*786 resolution, dont tell me thats how they’re supposed to look:confused:
The unlocker is ghetto to begin with and you have a to do a little work just to select the incomplete characters. The only reason to use it is to rip sprites or use Aoko for shits and grins.
Rough info:
-Title: Act Cadenza
-Runs on Naomi.
-So far the altnerate characters are not in the game, nor are Ren or Satsuki
-There is a 60 second timer… I HOPE they rebalanced Miyako then (she has almost no offense =P)
-Some gameplay features don’t seem to be in the game yet like jump cancels but I am hoping it is because the game is an early verison
-there are some new bgs like a forrest
If you time over while the characters are in the air, they will be frozen in the air and do their win pose and the game will probably crash. =)
Edit: Fuchikoma from mmcafe posted a link to an image of Ken Ju that also has a pic of MB arcade:
Don’t know what to say at this moment. I think it is understandable that the game sucks now since they are porting the game to a new architecture, but taking characters out?
Sorry if this is an old question…I haven’t read through the thread in a while.
I bought the MB and MB:ReAct disks. They installed no problem. Playing, now…That’s a different story. Three issues:
The game slows down constantly–not unplayably, but the FPS can go to around 41, which is just sad. My laptop here is a P-M 1.3 Gig, 256MB RAM, 32MB ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 graphics card (old, but c’mon…it’s 2D here). Do I just suck, or is there something I should be reconfiguring, or…? The Eternal Fighter Zero demo runs great, and to be honest I find it kind of difficult to believe that I’m not up to the task of running a 2D game.
Is there a way to reconfigure the keyboard controls?
The game crashes occasionally, usually after playing a match or two. Has anybody else had the game crash on them?
The only thing I can think of is that the game’s a total resource hog, and that that’s making things tough for my poor little laptop, but I can play other games (with low system specs, no high-end 3D stuff, but still) no problem.
I dunno about the other problems, but, as for the keyboard, they can’t be reconfigured. get a pad
A friend of mine’s having the same problem you are, where the game stops on its own, or it slows to a crawl, he too is on a laptop. I’m not sure of his specs, but, perhaps it’s a laptop issue? I don’t know. He has a dell, so, maybe that’s why.
