Chaining air heavy attacks into air throw is very useful, getting to use 6C command moves without fear a throw will come out is probably the biggest gain and one button heat activation is much better than 222D.
On the flip side, 6C for an air throw is really a good option select at times. For example, I use Miyako and she has a really deceptive/good air throw range. So if I 6c and they aren’t doing anything I throw them. If they are attacking and I timed it right, Miyako’s j.C will come out and they’ll hit her shield frame and my attack will probably win out.
Satsuki for new players definitely. Then be smart and learn someone else.
Okay, I just started playing Melty Blood ReACT Final Tuned, and I have a load of questions.
First off, can anyone recommend a good ps2 to USB converter? This playing with the keybaord thing just plain isn’t going to last very long.
Second, is there somewhere I can go for in depth combo lists for each character. So far I’ve mainly been using Akiha Tohno, and so far I’ve done a few decent combos, but nothing compared to what I’m used to seeing in videos of this game.
Third, once I’m in the game, how do I get out of things without straight up closing the game? Like, if I go into Training mode, I can’t figure out how to open like a Start Menu or something to back back to the main menu.
Also, what’s the difference between AC and PC mode?
I’m sure that I’ll have plenty more questions, but if you guys can help me out with those ones for the time being, I’d really appreciate it.
First and fourth are already covered in this or the old thread.
You cancel menu selections by pressing B (medium attack)
Lengthy combo listings are hard to come up with, since they engine is extremely free. I’d say that the best thing to do is to first understand how each attack looks like before trying to understand replays. You can also find combo replays in the Eternal Romancia forums.
That’s not what I was asking. How do I OPEN some sort of menu. Is there some sort of pause menu or anything? I’ve pressed damn near every button on my keyboard, and nothing seems to open anything like that. So if I go into Training Mode, is there some way I can quit out of Training Mode and get back to the main menu screen?
PC Mode:
Throws done with 4 or 6 C.
Heat activation done with 222D.
Shortcut keys have no use.
AC Mode:
Throws done with 4 or 6 A+D.
Air throws can be chained after heavy attacks.
Heat Activation done with A+B+C.
Has A+D key for throw, B+C for dash, A+B+C for activation.
Hi i’m a noob at this game, and I was wondering about b&b combos for kohaku. i don’t see much footage of her lately, so it’s hard for me to figure them out. is she not good?
I started to use 3 characters. Most of my combos consist of in the corner or air combos. I can lay out a nice 10-14 with Akiha and I forget the other twos names im gonna try to get this game to have some good comp around pittsburgh.
I like 2abc5cb j.b dj.bc throw. AC Mode only.
In/near the corner you can 2abc5c(all 5 hits) charged 236b, 2a 5c and do another charged b sword loop for circuit or go to air combo for damage.
Thanks, I’m starting to get a hang of the combo system now. Is there any use for her bombs? I can’t figure anything good for them. I’ve seen vids though where she use her cactus and spin plant well.
Bombs have invincible frames. It can get you out of certain traps, and there are some crossup tricks with it and Hisui assist. It’s all gimmicky though.
I just realized that Yukiko and I live in the same city. Dude, if your still into the game, we should get some games going after I adapt to FT, cuz I quit playing since 2.006.
Is there a reason why I never see any tourny match vids that include a Chaos player? Is he hard to compete with or somthing? Or is he band in profesional tournies?
If someone gets closer than the tip of Nero’s 2b, then he starts having trouble. Unless Nero is forcing his opponent to block his normals suck at that range.
