His zoning is pretty good. Definitely beatable though, otherwise you’d see more Neros.
j.C for air-to-air, j.B vs ground, 2a2a2b to push them back on the ground, A crows to keep them from IADing, 5b is unairblockable. Lots of stuff.
Chaos loses to the ranging moves of other popular (and often top tier) characters.
Warc 5C, Satsuki 2C, Akiha ANYTHING (lol), Ciel 5CC all will beat him out on most of his ground normals and will cleanly beat out his specials during startup at their optimal ranges. He has to pin these characters down and not give them a chance to use these normals if he expects to win.
He also loses to Aoko pretty badly in Act Cadenza (and she’s growing in popularity too…)
Plus sides are his insane defense (Second only to Akiha!) and relative ability to battle without meter for extended periods of time, allowing him to use meter for lifegain purposes.
I wish I could find MBR:FT players over here.

Hey man…thanks for all the good info. I’m still trying to get into this game but the learning curve seems steep. Reminds me a lot of GGXX#R but with less character variety.
So my question is, in Final Tuned, who are considered top tier, and who are considered bottom tier? Also, which characters do you think are the most fun to play.
I usually go for the fun characters (I play Bridget and Zappa in #R

That’s a really good question, I was actually going to ask that one myself.
Shrug this always comes up, but whatever.
This is opinion. I don’t claim to be perfect.
Top:
Akiha (Duh. Arguing this will get you slapped.)
Satsuki (Grab loop, unreal IAD, stupid damage, 5 Frame startup 2C.)
Shiki (2A, pause, 2A, pause, oops you tried to counter! 2A -> combo)
Upper mid:
Ciel (There are two characters that have a high probability of flat out winning the round if they corner you at full life. This is one of them.)
H&K/H solo (Gains as much as she lost, but weaker due to general power shift of the other characters.)
M.Hisui? (Could argue for her being just mid. Jetpacks restrict opponents general movement and require very little effort from her.
Extreme range, good ability to captilize on random hits from mid distance.)
Miyako? (Another potential argument. The other character who can flat out win the match if she corners you. Stupid damage, some traps do not work properly on her or require modification (Satsuki loop) etc.
Mid:
Arc (Crazy pressure game, stupid damage. This character is the closest to being upper mid of the mid tiers, and she damn well might be upper, time will tell.)
Warc (Actually needs meter to survive rushdown unlike many others here who only use meter when it is opportune. One of the games more threatening throws – if she guesses your tech you eat 3k more damage, don’t tech and you have to deal with otg -> teleport mixup. Rings are devestating on CH but otherwise mediocre as projectiles compared to others.)
Sion (Best corner combo in the game period. Good overhead. Not very threatening midscreen which is her major weakness. edit: by not threatening I mean doesn’t take off 3/4ths of your fucking life if she touches you)
Chaos (Insane stamina combined with crazy ranging ability. Mixup however all requires the opponent to make a mistake – an opponent who just blocks and waits for the gaps has little to fear but throws.)
Ren (Small sprite avoids many traps/combos, quicker than she looks, if she gets on top of you j2C will keep her on top of you until you FORCE her off or she wins.)
Kohaku solo. (Corner loop, command throw, some semblence of a mixup game.)

As far as which characters are fun to play, thats up to you, everyone has personal preferences. I always end up liking characters with stupid execution requirements which only serves to piss me off. Your mileage will vary.
I see a lot of Jap vids with Warachia. Do they use him cause they think he looks cool, not because he’s good?
Also with Kohaku, what can you do after her command throw? So far all I have is ghetto air combo, j b, j b, c, air throw. Also I noticed that Kohaku doesn’t have that throw when she has her sister assist.
Wara gets played just because. I’m sure there are people who liked him in 2.009A and can’t let him go. Fact is he loses to everything though, and squeaking out wins with him won’t keep him out of shit tier much as I’d like it to change.
Fuck! I played Shiki Touno sence this I got this damn game (year+), and you mean to tell me that he’s now top-tier!? FUCK! I hate playing top-tier. God damn it. Now I have to play as some else… Shiki Nanaya here I come.
