shiki touno was not top-tier all the time. Ciel, Hisui, Kohaku & Hisui, & Nanaya were higher tier in 2.009a

And do you really think being top-tier isn’t bearable, it’s not like he’s GOD tier for anything’s sake! Some games have a god tier, not MB, so just keep it cool and enjoy, as said before, why waste the experience???

Tohno was always top tier. At WORST he was upper mid on his crappier patches. And yeah, 009a he was DEFINATELY top (unblockable eyes? :p)

Spooky is right except for the most overhyped arc drive in the game. If it were really that great why don’t you see more of it? Oh right, it’s NOT THAT GOOD. =p

well, ive been messin around w/ new (to me) chars and decided to give aki-chan a break.

nanaya(7ya) is the new shyt. me likes him alot. but lacks the sexy hit confirms that tohno has :tdown: . oh well , still fun regardless. sometimes frustrating to use.

combos i came up w/:

opp in corner>2a>2b>2c>214b>2b>5b>jb,c>jb,c>throw

opp near corner(3 char spaces away)>full screen 214b(counter hit)>2c>214b>2b>5b>air combo

ikusat and mtp (and whoeverelse) prolly have footage of these combos. if so just ignore. just trying to contribute for 7ya players.

v.sion is also the new hot shyt . well, at least for me. im fond of akiha setups and j2b pressure as well as overall pressure. decent char imo. cant handle rushdown w/o meter tho.

heres a high damage combo i came up w/. i beg your pardon if this was already recorded/posted.

setup w/ 2a>2b>2c>akiha – iad a,c>(akiha hits)6b>jc(late)>(land)jb,c>airdashc>jb,c>throw

does about 4k+

ive managed to create practical ways to actually land akiha based combos and loops ( loops not gauranteed but tricky).

Whoa…can someone explain what the fuck happened at 2:30? I never seen a combo like that before in my life :confused:

Combo transcript: When your away from the corner do: Whatever into 2C, late 5C, and after that press C to do the air dash with the blue shadows. While in mid-air and in the corner do C, land and immediately do 5B, 5C. Wait for the wallslam and after recovery do 5B, 2B, 4B into any air combo.

That weird floating juggle happens because 5C pushes an opponent that’s in the air to the ground so that they can tech when they touch the ground. I don’t know why it does that but maybe cuz it’s an overhead? Haha I don’t why it does but just know that it does that. :clap: However, since you do that low kick (2B), you catch them before they can tech. As for that weird air dash, when someone is airborne and gets hit by 5C, they get thrown into the corner’s wall. That air dash simply gets you into the corner with your opponent in order to continue the combo. And with those two, the combo takes advantage of wallslamming, which increases hitstun so you can recovery and continue the combo. It’s a very common occurance you’ll see with certain character’s combos. Like with Nero’s BnB, the Sion combo I was talking about that’s in the same vid, Akiha has one with her 6C, one or more of the Shiki’s have one, hell even Miyako has one but I forget how you combo it. Please note though you can only wallslam your opponent twice, and after the third they’ll flip out. Hopefully that answers your question.

Even though he lost, that Arc player was wicked good. That last full screen combo around 5:10 was like :wow:. I’m a scrub so I prefer Warc…

Arc’s 5c wallslams airborne opponents, it’s her 5b that groundslams them. But 5b is techable unless it’s a CH so you usually stick a 2b after 5b to catch them before they hit the ground and tech.

Everyone in the game has a viable wallslam combo, except Ren she sucks.

Does 4572 vs Akiha compared to 3947 for ndw13 ZAR’s combo. I used 100% circuit and a harder combo to do a measley 600 more damage wee.

As a default anywhere combo if you can do 2ab5c2c5b air combo it does a tiny bit more damage than the lazy 2abc5c air combo string and has a higher chance of failure as 5b’s hit box is so small!

It’s all about the impractical combos that do marginally more damage that aren’t worth doing!

New Sion is definately light years ahead of the old one. You do what it takes to not get hit by her near the corner or you pay.

No actually. Team BL has dropped some serious knowledge in this thread and the past MB threads here. That comment was just my shock from Sion’s abrupt change (cuz I pretty much ignored her the most out of the whole cast), but I guess I wasn’t making myself clear.

i was just breaking down his combo from MBR vol 5 and i got these: vid place time = 45 secs
opp in corner j.c, 5ac, 2abc, 5b, then jump C. <<< i tried this setup for the air combo but jump C wont connect.
and can sum1 breakdown the double jump air combos for nanaya?

btw linalys wut does “jb,c>jb” or jb/jbc=? mean?

jc = jump c
jb,c>jb = jump b jump c double jump b
jb/jbc = jump b double jump bc

As for that Nanaya combo forget about doing jc first. You might as well just do jbc as it’s easier and it does more damage anyway. All Nanaya jump combos are jbc jbc without exception. There should never be a situation where he can’t do it.

Bump. I just noticed that a lot of characters in the game have a normal that does chip damage. Arc’s is j.2C, 5B for Nero. Wonder why the hell they put this in the game…

I don’t know but it doesn’t seem to be a huge deal in this game. Especially since you can’t chip someone to death.
