im incredibly lazy just now scanned stuff from arcadia article.
Thanks for the good news :karate:
can nero still guard break u with ex crows, and dwn+C?
Nero can guard break without the crows, hell just a standing A will do.
;p
EX Crows hits more similarly to the original Melty Blood, where he only fired off ten or fifteen of them (as opposed to six million), so I don’t think so. The move definitely didn’t last as long in the clip I saw with Nero using it.
things will change of course but at this point hes getting a LOT of love in the cades.
you do that crouching dagger like juggle then jump->wolves out of the coat->airdash/double jump->wolves out of the coat->repeat for a minimum 15 hit combo but more often 18-21 hit. does something like 3000 pts of damage which is a fairly big chunk. thats all they do (ppl who use him) to be honest it’s like playing tekken with ppl just trying to juggle into combo the whole match… :lame:
I’ll find a way to set up unblockables with nvsqsr nero chaos whatever his name is.
Does Satsaki still have invisable anti-air tentacles?
Is there any reason to pick hisui or kohaku over hisui&kohaku?(not being able to throw random things is NOT a reason!)
Is there a ps2 controller slot in the cabinet?
On dodge:
How fast does it activate? Instant or is there vulnerable startup?
Can you dodge as long as you want/effectively as long as you want?(ex s-groove can re-dodge with no vulnerability)
Is there vulnerability at the end?(Can you go straight from dodge to block)
Can you do anything while dodging, like going straight into an attack, parry, or dash?
Are you vulnerable to throws?
Considering that in MBR you can make a 4000-5000 combo pretty easily, 3000 is pretty tame.
Damage-per-combo wise, Nero always was a relatively low tier character.
Who do you use Beelzebub?
If all else fails, IAD with A or parry / shield the c.C.
;D
Nero is not low tier. There is no such thing as damage per combo wise low tier characters. Maybe Ren and Miyako belong there though.
Man Nro is not low tier at all. He can give anyone in the damn game trouble. Plenty of trouble.
Chaos’s usual combos do less damage than a lot of other characters. He practically always needs to burn meter to set them up too. However, he never needs to use more than one super in a combo, and he has some resets in the corner(where ideally he ends his combos).
Even with resets, the majority of his combos start with a 50 hit super or a damage prorating jab, both of which lessen the damage of the rest of the combo. Which is why, damage per combo, chaos is bad. In a semi-related note, damage per combo doesn’t determine who is good and who is bad.
well ive never played the game before and i usually play at the most brutal arcade in osaka so at this point im learning a tiny bit every time i play as i get raped
i didnt bother to look at the button layout the first night and though the layout was [a b c d] only to realize that it was [d a b c] the next night (no wonder my attempts at a l->m->h chain didnt do very well… yeah so i was trying to attack with shield
when i play near where i work i can get wins so i learn much more. im trying with the kid with glasses, warachia and maybe some ren…
and the roster is exactly what the website lists at this point.
Oh, what I wouldn’t give to have an AC machine close to me right about now.
I’d be more than happy to write up a differences FAQ between MBR and MB:AC (though it’d probably turn out to be a full FAQ, much like how the MBR one evolved).
Thank you Zaelar.
I never said Nero is low tier. I said damage-per-combo wise Nero is low.
Let’s give beelze some tips guys :D!
Bell can give you pointers on Ren.
Sp00ky’s the resident Warachia guy.
And any other regular can hook you up with Shiki (glasses kid) notes.
Next time you play, test this out for me:
Choose the school girl (Satsuki Yumizuka). When you have meter to burn, do 623+C when they’re JUMPING and around maybe a half a screen away. Or just do it when it’s quite obvious that they’re not in reach of her hand. Tell me what happens.
;p
Your Nero combos suck then.
Are you gonna tell me that Nero can make as much damage as Nanaya with a non-super BnB combo?
Not without an elaborate setup, which Nanaya doesn’t need. But the thing is, Nanaya has no use for his EX moves; they suck. He gets Heat, activates Blood Heat, uses Eyes. Nero, on the other hand, can burn circuit on EX Crows (bar none his best EX move in MBR), and a simple EX Snake x 3 combo deals stupid damage. He’s got as much damage output, he just needs to burn circuit to do it, but he can also guard break and reset and mixup whereas Nanaya’s main ability is to punish any tiny little mistake you make.
@chibi ill try that dp+C with meter thing tomorrow morning before work.
every time i go to play some c**t is using nro. i am really starting to hate that guy thing is i cant out air him coz i cant get the priority… ive tried several characters (the red haired wearing hakama type pants with the cat scratch launcher s.Mx2 chain is cool btw) but it seems that its not the character so much as height. do i have to double jump or air dash to beat nro in the air (he always seems to be higher than me when we meet in the air).
he is getting whored by average otaku’s all across japan as we speak…
