Melee or Street Fighter: Which requires more technical skill? Any Thoughts?

Melee requires way more technical skill because you have to spin and wiggle the wiimote and jump up and down on the wii fitness mat in order to perform moves.

beat me to it, best fighting game ever though… i mean IT’S ROBOTS fighting. oh, nevermind trying to unlock that multiplayer after like what? 30 hours+ of gameplay.

still, xenogears vs. mode tourney who’s in!?!?!?!?!

MADDEN is the best fighting game ever then

so the vs mode of Zone of the Enders 2nd Runner is a fighting game :coffee:

my VicViper would want to have a word with you

I really feel sorry for you noobs who think Melee is the shit. I really do =( Seriously, Melee is a baby’s game compared to the entirety of MVC2. You noobs complaining about having no social acceptance in the fighting game community or not being able to land your little shine combos. Really really sad.

Smash fans love the game, but most of the Smash community has no idea what it’s like to play a good fighter.

Smash can not be taken seriously. Why? Because the gameplay system is inconsistent, random, and nothing is static. I can’t bet money, time, and heart into something like that.

Don’t think my arguement is sound? I tried for many years to give this game a chance, through Melee and now Brawl.

It’s just not worth it and niether is this thread. If you want to talk technical go play any other fighting game in depth as much as you played Melee and you will realize I’m right.

k…

lol, you wasn’t going anywhere from the start time you said smash is a fighting game.

Good boy.

b-b-but execution difficulty (oh whoops i mean “tech skill”) is the only driving factor in how big the possibility space of a game is

Melee beats street fighter in every aspect, from controls, to method of winning, to level and character design.

you are a troll or severely autistic

Consolidated into one thread.

Street Fighter, with the Focus Attacks, Dash Cancels, Cross-ups, etc.

Brawl and Melee are fun, but more for a younger audience. Don’t get me wrong, they’re great I love them to death, but Street Fighter and King of Fighters definitely require more finesse, tactics, and all that good stuff.

blades of steel fight mode imo

LOL butthurt noobs

In all seriousness, though, even though we’re all hating on it, I’m sure at least 75% of us have Melee and/or Brawl. Lots of people really have a lot of reasons to hate it. While it may or may not seem like it, I’m sure most of us have given Smash a fair shake, in spite of all the “lmao Pikachu vs Mario” shit.

DOA4 holds the lone position as the most mistreated game on SRK.

a couple years ago, i beat the best melee player in my area.
ive never owned a gamecube or that game so yeah, game requires no skill

I know right?
Always gotta cry when people hate on Smash.

:wgrin:

Smash is cool because 4 stages are played at a high level. With 5, I mean 2 playable characters too!

That means he sucks.

It doesn’t mean Melee requires no skill.

It requires skill, like any other game. It’s just a stupid game.

Smash is super hard. . . gotta stay on high alert for those pokeballs
