Melee or Street Fighter: Which requires more technical skill? Any Thoughts?

Hey guys lets argue about whether Smash is or is not a fighting game.

this level of play is a level none of you will achieve. There is such a high level of technical skill and mindgames that none of you here will ever understand(which in this case, none of you do). And from looking at the way you guys post, you will never get close to even being decent at sfiv with your closed mindsets, unable to accept different types of fighting games just because they’re different.

I really feel sorry for you noobs who think sfiv is the shit. I really do =( seriously, sfiv is a baby’s game compared to competitive melee. You noobs complaining about sagat or not being able to land your little srk fadc ultra. Really really sad.

Oh and feel free to challenge me on xbox anytime, i’ll ruin your day, definitely.

I bet you are aspecting a essay, but I’m not wasting my time stating the obvious on something that’s so simple. But, to sum it up quickly, smash does not run under a traditional engine for a fighting game. Just because it has kicks and puches don’t mean shit. In the case Final Fight is a fighting game.

oh and smash is in the category of (action), that’s coming from the makers.

It’s funny that all the Versions of Jehuty were Top Tier except Damaged Jehuty and even that one was like lower mid

umm just about every game from every genre has a vs mode. Oh , shit this means super mario kart has a vs mode. Guess that’s a fighting game as well, if you disagree you are “ignorant”

and like i said. it doesn’t matter what the “makers” of the game intended it to be. if the game has has the assets to be a FIGHTIING GAME, it’s a fighting game.

Melee requires much much more technical skill. There is basically an infinite level of execution in Melee. A level of execution that far surpasses even Guilty Gear.
