I dont know if you’re being sarcastic, or not, but Rey could fool me, and Im his biggest fan
BTW me wonders where Rey has gone to???
Rey or TAS(whoever works in Udon), did Capcom give you guys the right(or could you get the right) to publish your SF4 story in comic form? I believe Sakura and Karin where created in a fanfic-comic and Capcom decided to make them official/canon to the Street Fighter story after seeing how popular the doujin was.
nope. i wasnt being sarcastic
:lk:
No offense guys, but in my honest opinion, for Ryu to give into Satsui No Hadou, something he only gave into briefly to scar Sagat by the time of SF4 (which would be a very long time after the SFZ Series) is like a major Character Development Step Backwards. It’s like Professor X in X-Men becoming Onslaught again. That would just be rehashing an old storyline with no progression of Character. It’s cool for Fan Fics, Fan Art and ‘just imagine’ games and all, but I don’t see it as a Street Fighter Video Game.
Could make a great ‘What If’ style comic though.
No, Capcom hasnt given us the right to do any SF sequel of sorts, although I would love to do one with Rey, ie me writting it and him drawing it (thats not to say Rey wouldnt have input on the writting/story part of it though)
Note, that Capcom already (from what they told me) knows what direction they’re going in with SF4, which is diffrient then what most people will expect it to be, in terms of story, characters, gameplay, etc. Although from what I can tell SF4 still wouldnt conflict with my SF Neo storyline (yay!) which I love, cause my story is set somewhat in the future of SF (around 2010 or 2015) and never wanted to call it SF4, cause I knew Capcom would end up making SF4 (and it be diffrient from my story) and I itentionaly set it so far in the future that a game (SF4) could take place between it and SF3: Third Strike (the last SF game)
Sakura was created in house by Capcom. She was creatd by an artist named Edayan, while Karin was the one who came from a popular manga called Sakura Ganbaru. I forget the name of the guy who created her, but he also did the Street Fighter Zero manga and the RYU FINAL manga.
Well, I do like your drawings at least. Just don’t care much for Ryu going back to SNH is all.
That was actually the only thing about my story Capcom of Japan didnt like, however they understood why I did it, and why it ends out working for the better, meaning, it was a (or the best) way to get certain characters to come back, because Ryu going SNH, results in Sagat, Sakura, and Guy all coming back, and is the focal point of why everything basicly happens in the storyline (plus Evil Ryu’s a fan favortie too)
Ah, me and Capcom of Japan think alike. I suppose that’s the end result of about 15 years of diehard fandom!
i’m trying really hard to get my character made by capcom. i think it has a lot of potency
TAS: could you possibly fit this guy in to your story? just make him a little cooler?
Cut Capcom some slack! Do you realize just how hard it would be for Capcom to create a Sprite of that character? They’d have to use the best Artists in existince and the cost to Animate him fluidly, oh, the cost!
I kid! I kid!
LMFAO
Definitely. I agree.
Yeah, but you do relize that Capcom came to the relization that it was for the better, when I explained it to them right?
Yes it could, especialy since UDON’s SF comic will only go up to a certain point. I wish Erik Ko (Udoneko) would check out my story and tell me what he thinks.
SFN was really meant to be more of a side story like the Alpha series, but still big and epic like the SFA series, like the SFA series is a side story to that of the numerical SF tournament based games, but yet its storyline is more indepth then the tournament based games (even though mine envolves a tournament) I remember SFEX was supposed to be SF Gaiden, back when it was supposed to tie into Capcom’s storyline, then they (ARIKA) siad screw Capcom and made their own storyline (EX)
I don’t have much input, but I’m having a splendid time reading this thread. Welcome back TAS! I always enjoy reading what you have to post. Do you have a site or anything?
Oh yeah, I like the first Mel idea, and the Ryu idea with Oro’s cloak/sleeping bag (Hahaha). At first I hated the idea of a Satsui no hadou Ryu (cuz I’m a fanboy) but I love it now. I was thinking about one of the CvS2 endings where Gouki’s energy left him for another host. So the timeline would be as follows:
-Oro trains Ryu then dies.
-In meditation Gouki discovers this and begins searching for his now worthy opponent.
-Ryu gains his sought after “enlightenment” and discovers a technique to block satsui no hadou.
-Ryu teaches Mel all he has learned and the new technique.
-Gouki arrives and tries to kill his real threat, Mel.
-Ryu kills his pupils attacker.EDIT: Gouki deserves more credit than this. Instead, Ryu kills Gouki with Mel’s help.
-Satsui no hadou tries to invade Mel’s body but can’t, so takes Ryu instead.
-Mel flees to tell his father.
-Ryu begins training in satsui no hadou in his new masters cave.(Oro)
-Ken tells as many people as he can about what has happened.
-Guy already knows about this new threat because he is Bushido(And pimp!)
Hmm, I guess I do have some input. Anyway, keep the posts comin yall. This thread is too good.
Thats basicly/exactly how my story plays out. Check out the link in the fist page of this post that Sano linked, and read the “Way Of The Warrior” story in it.
The only diff in yours and mine is…
Mine,
Mel is of no threat to Akuma, and Akuma is barely able to keep up with Ryu. Relize that Oro is on the same power level as Akuma, possibly stronger (given Oro is so much older then Akuma) and Oro will no doubt pass on all his secrets to Ryu, making Ryu pretty powerful. Think about combining Oro’s power with Ryu’s and its easy to understand that he could go rounds with Akuma. Anyways storyline wise in mine Ryu beats Akuma, but he wont kill him, but Akuma feeling disgraced (since he lost) forces Ryu to kill him by preforming the Shun Goku Satsu on Mel, but before he can reach Mel, Ryu charges a powerful hadouken (either Shinkuu or Dejin) with the killing intent (to kil Akuma) teh fires off vaporizing Akuma. Ryu is able semi supress the killing intent about burst out of him, but when Akuma dies there’s a powerful explosion of Satsu No Hadou energy that pushes Ryu over the edge, thus my story (or part of it)
Although I got admit, Im gonna have to steal the tattoo idea from Rey and add it in.
My most educated guess at what Capcom has planned for SF4 story-wise would be that Gill’s prophecy actually being true as some new enemy appears. Q is some-how involved as his existence has yet to be explained. Because Gill’s plans were thwarted, the world is ill-prepared to stop this new threat(it could be Bison in a different body or Bison’s psycho power possessiing someone but that’s unlikely). Gill would probably be killed and Alex mourns his death then helps battle the new boss. Ryu(and Ken maybe) is busy with Akuma(if this the last SF then this has to be settled). Ryu kills Akuma or they both die fighting. This new enemy(if it is not Bison/psycho power-related) will be beaten by SF4’s lead character(1:Ryu/2:Guile/3:Alex/4:?). If it is Bison in some form then Guile, Cammy and Vega come back.
Whatever brother. Still no game, LOL! It’s like the Green Goblin said in Spider-Man 1. There’s nothing people like more than a hero to see him fall, even though I still find it incredibly silly/rehash to have Ryu get into the Satsui No Hadou once again. In SF3 he told Gouki “Satsui No Hadou is not the way.” He’s moved past it/beyond it. There’s something a helluva lot more interesting that Ryu needs to deal with, and that’s his rematch w/Sagat. Besides, SNH Ryu that can use the Shun Goku Satsu and all that couldn’t exist (that’s just for game playing purposes) because he’s never even witnessed the move. If you want to see what SNH Ryu would really be like, check the SFZ Anime. No way he could start performing Gouki’s moves out of the blue.
And I think Capcom was just being nice to you. They’ve shown time and time again they are not interested in exploring SNH Ryu except for out of continuity Vs. Games.
Not trying to start a flame war or anything, we don’t all have to agree on the same things.
Besides, I find it HIGHLY DOUBTFUL that Capcom of Japan will EVER allow SNH Ryu to be defeated by AN AMERICAN. I know Mel has SOME Japanese Blood, but it’s just not gonna happen. You might as well wait for Lucky Glauber to defeat Kyo Kusanagi.
Like I said, it makes a great Fic, makes a great Comic, just don’t see it as a Video Game unless Capcom screams from the mountain tops that the game is out of continuity.
So again, not everbody has to agree on everything to be friends, so I’m just speaking my mind not trying to offend.
Who is that? Is that a rival schools logo in the corner? Excuse my ignorance.
–jedi//.
yeah. that’s just a kid with an RS logo next to his head. i dont know his name yet
My brother and I are calling it:
Ryu is going to be the final boss in SF4. The guy is going to be so pumped-up-super-saiyin that no one will beat him.
3S Ryu is already stronger than Satsu no Hadou Ryu now, and with Oro’s God Tier training, he’s going to be OMGWTFBBQ! good.
Half serious, half joking.
