Megaman animated series coming in 2017 from the creators of Ben 10 and Generator Rex

Welp i trust these niggas with it. I just wonder which universe they are gonna adapt. I would love for it to be X since we did get a series for Starforce and NT Warrior

@“po pimpus”

POGASM!!!

I think Legends could translate very well to an animated series, but we know it definitely isn’t that.

I like Man of Action, I should try to track down the last season of Generator Rex since CN did them dirty with air times for it.

I need to actually watch Rex from start to end. Yeah idk if this thread will be taken down because the cartoon was posed about in VG General but i saw the post after I made this.

But yeah I think Legends could be translated well. But man an X series though…

I hope to god its the dude from the first several seasons of ben 10,

oh it is. This is nothing but a god thing. Maybe if this spurs attention, Capcom will deliver Legends 3 on a real fucking console and not a handheld.

Why do i feel that po will rage over this because is not a new game?

Also hopefully Capcom will put Legends 1&2 on PSN. I mean fuck they put x4 & x5 i think. They got classic megamans, battle networks, and the zero games on eshop. they got TRON BONNE on PSN but not the legends games…

Capcom needs to realize they can make another megaman and still make a profit. Megaman is a platformer so don’t put as much money into it as say one would for something like Uncharted, but a platformer on console can still be worth full retail price today and 3d World proved it.

Because you know him well.

I’m torn though. Generator Rex was well crafted, as was the OG Ben 10. But MoA is stubborn considering that they did their best to nuke any sort of character development for Ben in Omniverse, almost as if saying the inbetween series didn’t happen.

We’ll see.

Get the voice cast from Mega Man 8, please.

Omniverse is the silly one right? I don’t even count that shit. I thought it was a spin off or something because Ben looked younger than he did in Alien Force, unless I got the series mixed up

This is me being cautiously optimistic…

Generator Rex was good, but Ben10 got ran into the ground… It’s also on CN, the network that hates good action cartoons(Young Justice, NEVER FORGET)…

Capcom and CN do too much fucking up to be as hype as I should be… But, for the first time since E3 2013…

Mega Man fans have something to be hopeful for.

Pretty much. It has some good elements but ultimately it felt like MoA wanted to retcon everything that they could. Which would be fine other than the part where he acts like he’s still 10 half the time.

I’m not hopeful about Man of Action. They wrote the worst episodes Avengers: EMH in the second half of the second season, and largely responsible for Avengers Assemble and Ultimate Spider-Man. Mega Man still catching Ls.

On the plus side this could revitalize the franchise and get a new generation of people interested on Megaman games, the downside is that this doesn’t necessarily translates into new plattform games like the classic and X series.

At worst i am expecting a series like sonic boom.

Everybody’s attempting to resurrect Megaman, Capcom’s trying to kill him off. Who’s the bad guy in this situation? Does Capcom know something we don’t?

Capcom isn’t killing Mega Man. They continue to merchandise Mega Man because there’s still money in that. Square and Namco like to pimp out merch with Space Invaders and Pac-Man respectively and how often do either series get games?

Those games suck tho…

What I think is happening is that the Mega Man brand was weak after it got run into the ground with endless barely-incremental sequels. So Capcom is slowly revitalizing the brand through lower risk auxiliary media like the comic books, Smash Bros, and now this latest cartoon. Until bam, Mega Man is actually popular again (and with people who don’t have the nostalgia of growing up with him on the NES), and now there’s a market for a game.

Because if it really was down to Capcom being suicidally incompetent and actively trying to kill the brand, they wouldn’t even license these spinoffs in the first place.

I hope this show is actually animated and not CGI. Oh, based on classic Mega Man.

I just hope Man of Action doesn’t go complete Haim Saban.
