Ok I got a question. If I was to get the HORI Real arcade pro stick for the PS3, would it still be compatible with the PS2?
The HRAP3? If you can get a usb-to-PS2 converter, I don’t see why not.
ps. I played sf4 online the other day and it sucked! Lag > completion of combos ftl.

Anybody who’s got 360 we should get games in. I got fios in the house so the connection should be pretty strong.
You can do that or if you know someone in the area that mods sticks I would suggest just going all out and getting it modded up. Eric Kim has his TE stick modded so it works on PS2/PS3/360. I’m buying a custom stick from a guy in Cali with a dual PS3/360 board. I just flick a switch to change between PS3 and 360 compatibility. The way people are playing the game on both systems I figured to go all out and get a stick that works with everything. I got a 360 at the house myself.
There’s also a specially made seperate PS1 cord that people make with custom/modded sticks that you can plug into the stick to make it compatible with PS2. I’m not sure how Eric Kim’s stick works with the PS2 compatibility but it might be something similar. Faight seems to be the local guy in the area making/modding sticks so you can talk to him about it if you’re intersted. Providing he’s not too busy any ways.
How did you come across this dual-mod stick? The trading outlet, or somewhere else? I’m trying to get a stick that works on both 360 and PS3, but everything related to arcade sticks seems to be low in stock so I’m trying to buy one that’s already made. Otherwise I may just wait for Madcatz to get their shit together, if they ever do.
Yeah I’m not trying to wait for Mad Catz anymore. I mean I already have both a PS3 and 360 TE stick at the house but looking to sell them more than anything since they’re collectors items and the stick is generally too hefty for my tastes. I’m getting a smaller custom made briefcase style stick from this guy in Cali that I saw in the custom stick thread.
A few pages back in the custom stick thread are some pictures of his stick. His name’s rtdzign. When I get some free time I’ll post up some pics of the beta for my stick. If it all works out it should have artwork on both sides of the stick/briefcase and work like a great Japanese stick should. You are right about stick parts being low. Ever since the console release of SFIV everyone’s looking to mod their sticks up and parts are scarce. Rtdzign won’t have the parts for my stick until like another week or 2 from now.
Apparently Eric Kim’s (Ramza) TE stick is modded up as well so you could ask him how to mod your TE/SE stick if you end up gettting one.
I work right next to White Flint station…So, maybe I’ll just come thru right after work, sometimes I drive to work. Its just that I live in DC. And u know SFIV + Friday night + Pizza + Beer (I dont drink beer, lol) = My wife getting pissed at me for coming in the house Sunday afternoon

If so, I need to link up with him so I can have an experience Ken player to spar with face to face. I played with him once over Sin’s house this past New years Eve. He can also help me with my TE mod…even though I already have an HRAP3. I think I want to make my 360 TE Ps3 compatible…

All I have right now is a Hori EX2, and its not dual-mod friendly at all. Hell, its not MOD friendly at all. I’m probably doomed to borrowing sticks until the summer, ugh. Fuck PS3.

If any of the NOVA locals wanna meet up at my house in Herndon it will be available in the afternoon and Thursday as well (well, I HOPE thursday). It’ll be SF4 on PS3 and bring your own stick otherwise you can use one of the controllers. I can also setup another TV for GGXXAC on PS2 and again bring your own compatible sticks ( I only have one good controller for PS2). Drinks (and probably snacks) will be available.

I’ve been ‘REVIVED’ by SF4 basically. It’s moar manageable than GG for me so take that as you will. If it weren’t for SF I wouldn’t even have a PS3.
