I live on campus, up in the walker apartments.
Ohh, Walker Apartments. Good shit. Which building do you live in? And I’m not exactly positive about this, but how is parking in the parking lot up in Walker Apartments? I never knew the “guidelines” or “rules” or whatever for parking there, but I did once or twice… or three times.
Nothing I’ve heard about this place would make me want to go to it. No one in your area has a place like an apartment/house to meet up at?
If someone brings a TV and a console, we can set up in my dorm’s lounge, similary to what 4r5 did yesterday. Right now it’s only one TV, and I’m gonna hook my 360 up to it, but I don’t want to only have one setup.
I’m in which ever building is near the leasing office. Stack 7, I thing it’s called, not that the buildings are labeled.
And I dunno about parking. I have a pass, so I park where ever without worry. Visitor parking is down the hill, on top of the library garage. Parking there is free, after 7pm on weekdays, and all day on weekends. I think, shrug. they got signs up.
I hear that campus police stop ticketing cars after a certain time, but I dunno the validity of that, so park at your own risk.
Ah, I see. When I was living in Hillside Apartments, I couldn’t find parking one night after like 10p, so I parked on top of the library garage with the meters and didn’t pay the meter. I came back the next morning and saw that I got a ticket, lol. So I’m not so sure about that parking there. Maybe if I didn’t leave it there until the morning, then I probably wouldn’t have gotten a ticket.
Gah, I miss going to school there and being able to park almost wherever.

Meter Maids stop ticketing @ UMBC after 9:30 during the week. If you do park during the week after 9:30 – move your car by 7:00 (or 7:30, 8ish? I don’t remember) the next day because that’s when they start ticketing again. They tend not to be strict on the exact time but they will gladly give you a ticket at some point during the meter hours. On Weekends, there is no enforced ticketing although i would avoid faculty lots (I’ve never tested them and they’re rarely convenient).
With that said, campus parking tends to suck during the week regardless of ticketing practice. It’s hard to find a spot unless you’re up for feeding a meter during the week. Although there’s a little walking involved, College Park opens up a lot of meter-less parking after 4pm.

I posted this in the other MD thread, and I’m gonna post it here.
Next friday Terpzone is having a PS3 SF4 tournament, and this time sticks are usable with USB extension cables so don’t let that deter you from coming. I think you can pick one up from a local radioshack/whateverelectronicstore for a cheap price. RyanCelsius won the last one. Although the setup is inferior to UMBC(Since I’ve been there I know this for sure), it’s still alot of fun and people should try and come out. I’m gonna try and pick up a USB extension cable myself and let others use it if they want.
just got back. madd tired. feel like i know how to get 10x the level I was at before heading out there. i’ll be at umbc this week:)
