Errrr i’ve played in lots of tournies before, i already know what’s it’s like putting your money on the line…i just see no point in paying to play on console or driving 1+ hours when i can’t c.shortx2,super consistently on the floor. I barely even play training mode because i don’t have a ps2. In fact that would actually help more than anything. I’m not worried about mind games or reactions, just my execution. Bmore is quite a drive for me also. I’ve only played down there twice. Once last year, with rugal, steve, and silent shade (when he was still here), and for the first time in over a year with bchan.

I know Ren’s no rookie. I feel his pain too. My execution on console is still really shitty compared to playing on a cab. Too much movement. That’s why I stopped playing Bison/Sakura. I’m one of those guys that spazzes on the motions.

That’s one of the main reasons i bought an hrap when i moved here. I thought it would be easier to do customs while sitting, which isn’t true. I can do bisons, but i mess up sakura’s way too much.
Anyways, i’m down to play tomorrow after 11 AM. I was supposed to play with bchan tomorrow, but i haven’t heard from him. I’ll head down to bmore to play anyone else if i don’t hear back from bchan or if anyone is willing to do so, i could have a session at my house. The only thing is someone will need to bring a ps2, a copy of cvs, and your own stick (unless you wanna use my AE stick

I drive more than 3 hours just to get there and I don’t expect to place better than top 8 in the games I enter. Sometimes the buttons on my stick don’t work correctly. For most people, it not about winning it’s about the community and fun. And yes I have a life. I’m taking 18 credits at college, w/ a part time job, AND have a girlfriend. Too many lame excuses in a community that could otherwise be much stronger.
Don’t mind me though, I’m just bitter because a lot of people take their communities for granted. I wish my area HAD one.

Maybe playing on sub par controls and not being able to execute is fun for you, but it’s not fun for me. I’d rather play someone better than me on working sticks and lose, rather than play and lose to my joystick. When i get comfortable enough playing on the floor and when i feel my execution is back to where it used to be is when i’ll head down to C3 and play.

Yeah, I used to be in 10x’s position, then we switched places. But I used to make that 3 hour ride every month. 1 hour is nothing. That used to be my train ride to CF. The MD/VA scene is too good and too fun not to fuck with. Don’t let Bchan fool you. 
My problem is driving 1.5 hrs to play when i’m just not accustomed to playing on the floor. A 30 min drive is fine, i mean when the mall over here had an arcade i’d drive there just to play cvs1 with steve or even play fucking SVC of all games, just because it had competition. I know what it’s like to have to travel to play, i did that on LI when a lot of people refused to play me. there were only 3 people who were willing to play at the time. If C3 was in bmore i would most def be at the tournies, but i can’t justify the trip down there at my current state.

I understand what you’re saying, but it’s fun regardless. Plus, you’d probably be more into learning to play on the floor if you knew how hype shit is in the area.
Personally, I fuck shit up all the time at C3. We haven’t even had a CvS2 tournament since October, but shit is still fun. Come out.
You really don’t have to play on the floor, you can put your stick on a chair or a table.
Also Chem, you’ll also have a chance to exact revenge on Chang for all of those lag abuse matches at C3.

Aight, i’ll come through to the next tourney if i’m able to find a new job (currently work on weekends).
I’ve tried both of those. tables and chairs are both kinda unstable. When i’m really into it, i really hit the buttons and the directions so my stick tends to move a lot. Also, correct height is an issue. I’ll eventually get used to playing on the floor, just gotta actually play more.
