:wow: That was all kinds of stupid! Wish I could do that, walking in slow-motion, w/ wicked techno music playing in the backgound.

uh…

Tennis is sooo…un ninja like. I guess just being myself will have to do. Besides…I’m black. That’s almost like being a ninja.

Are you trying to…tell me something?

haha, j/k. I’m not asian, I hate them.

P.S.- Not saying anyone’s gonna, but if any of you guys try to rob a helpless lady, too bad 'cause they’re slightly prepared:

Yeah man, you’d make a great ninja. Just wear black clothes and attack at night time, can’t hit what you can’t see. Ohhhh! Man, I’m on a roll.

About that low-tier thing, Skisonic is so on point. And also, Third Strike is considerably more unbalanced than Super Turbo, Hyper Fighting, Virtua Fighter Any-Number, and, as far as I hear, considering I don’t play the games, GGXX, #R, and Slash. In fact, among the popular tournament fighting games over the years, it seems to me that only MvC2 is factually more unbalanced than Third Strike. CvS2 is pretty close to Third Strike’s level of balance, I would say, but, as they say in The Law, the fact that reasonable people can disagree on that shows that both are viable options.

white power

I dunno about Slash, but I think #R was more unbalanced than 3S.

Eddie, Robo, Slayer FTW

Twelve beats Yun and Chun. Oh and I hope N-Ken and Rugal B are keeping track cuz the race card was pulled like 5 times between 2 pages.

#R IMO was decently balanced but like 3rd Strike…the top tiers are just really F’n top tier. I believe the power of randomness outperforms all in 3S though. Jam was hella stupid in #R too. Her basic air juggles (after charging her specials) did like near half life on most characters without any meter. Even her neutral throw set people up for ridic juggles.

Yeah…I was sayin the same thing. :looney: Oh and do Power Rangers qualify as ninjas?

stfu! 3S is balanced as shit! rawr! im thinking about switching this tournament’s stipulation…from ryu…to urien…cuz urien is fun as shit! or maybe even…yang? ara?

Eh, Jam was mid tier.

Dizzy, Sol, and Axl ranked well above her.

Before you ask, tiers were like:
Eddie, Slayer, Robo

Dizzy, Sol, Axl --> then Johnny

everyone else (mid)

Zappa —> then Anji, Ky (bottom)

And there were a few counter character matchups. Like Baiken, who could actually do well against Eddie.

Twelve loses to both Yun and Chun, and pretty badly too. Yun just eats Twelve up; all Twelve has going for him is that he’s better at running from Genei Jin than most characters, but that’s negated by the fact that one touch from Genei Jin means he loses half his life and he can’t do any damage to Yun while running. As for Chun, the thing is, his 3-7 match against Chun is better than the 2-8 matchups all the other low tier characters have. Congratulations, Twelve: you’re expected to have a 30% win rate instead of 20%! Twelve has only two good matchups, and (surprise) they’re against Hugo and Sean, and (surprise again) they’re at most 6-4 in his favor. That’s the crappy thing about Third Strike, the bottom third of the cast has 2-8 and 3-7 matches against the top and high tiers, and perhaps even worse in the cases of Q v Makoto and Twelve v Ken/Elena. It’s a totally different situation in Super Turbo, where one of top tier Dhalsim’s worst matchups is bottom tier Cammy, Honda loses to and beats half the cast, Zangief/Hawk/Fei can ruin a bunch of characters whenever they get in, and people win with low tier Blanka in individual tournaments.

Third Strike only has the guessing-induced illusion of being balanced; it’s really not. That’s not to say it’s terribly unbalanced, there have been far worse games and a couple of them have even been put in major tournaments, but when fully four characters have 2-8 or 3-7 matchups against half the cast, 4 characters have at most two losing matchups, and no one has ever heard of more than half the cast ever winning a major individual tournament, you know the game has problems.

Oh, if only people played ST or HF still… what a magical place it would be.

Half the cast is still better than some games. ST is good stuff though. It’s just that it only has sooo much of an audience due to the game just being ancient. Hyper SF randomness doesn’t help either. Capcom Classics 2 FTW.

LOL. Just like force yourself to use 4 different random mid tiers. No one would know what to do.

Why did I post back to back? HIGH F’N POST COUNT!!!

I guess I was just looking at some random SRK made tier list from a long time ago. Jam is still serious though. Then again…just about every character in GG is serious when you get to learning them. That’s what I like about GG.

3 times BACK TO BACK! If this was bowling I’d have a damned turkey!

Four.

The madness just won’t stop.

I think you wrote down the XX list because the top tiers in #R were Eddie, Jam, Slayer, Millia.

Nice av aku~lol @_@
