Time Out seems to be pretty worn out for 2d fighters now. If you’re not there to play Dark Res or DDR you really shouldn’t be there IMO. Controls are crap on all the 2d fighters any ways.
Hey guys, this is the old man himself. Anyway, I am coming through next weekend for the tournament. Aside from that, I’ve been thinking about opening up my own arcade for the longest time, but have never had the time to really put forth the effort. So I am putting a plan together to get one open by January next year, if all is good then that shit should be hot. I really would like to open the place in Northern VA as everyone is pretty much in that area, but the problem is that I do not want to rival C3 in any way. I have some ideas, but I am not going to release anything online until a month before I open which will probably be on my own website, something similiar to TGA.
If anyone thinks they have some good ideas for what they would like to see in the place I am open to any and all suggestions. I look forward to seeing what you guys have to say. Peace

some suggestions- japanese sticks/buttons for 3s/cvs2. at this point most people who play those games play on japanese sticks anyway, so it makes the most sense.
3s on a big cab/head to head setup. because its the most widely played game i think a good setup is paramount,
as long as sticks/buttons work on the major games everything should be fine.
as far as games go 3s/cvs2/marvel/t5:DR should be enough to satisfy the community as a whole. good setups for these games would be just…amazing.

As for the set-up, personally, I’ve always preferred the big, tournament style American cabs like at CF (or like every other arcade that used to be in NY), with p360’s, but I don’t know too many players not out of NYC that feel the same…

At this point though, any arcade with CvS2 sounds great to me. This console shit is next-level gay.

Thatd be so sweet Eric, It’d be cool to see ST and XvsSF too. Personally as long as the controls are kept well it really doesnt matter what style cab it is imo. Though J cabs are cool. ST would be awesome though. You could have weekly tournaments and everything. ST would be dope. ST.
