McDonald's sales in US plummet

Smart thing to do at any fast food place, is say you can’t have salt on your fries, which forces them to cook you fresh fries, and put no salt on them. Then you can salt them yourself :stuck_out_tongue:

You tha real MVP.

That said @BBQ‌ , when people talk about things like fries you should always assume they mean at the best/freshest possible.

McDonald’s at their prime are pretty good but they aren’t super amazing compared to some others. I’d put them over BK’s though for sure.

…Rally’s/Checker’s fries though

Good lord, they can be greasy but I feel like I could eat a hundred of them with nothing else.

I prefer A&W curly fries:

Fuck you niggas are making me want a real burger and fries meal. McD’s fries are fucking pointless to me. They are practically just oil and salt, seriously look inside after taking a bite and it’s fucking hollow in there.

If we’re talking about fast food fries, then I have to give it up to Carls Jr and Jack in the box curly fries for being the best.

Good news. There are a million places to get a great burger at a similar price, I don’t understand why anyone would eat there.

i never understood the love for BK. Their flagship burger, the whopper is bland to me. It’s just a tasteless patty with mayo and ketchup

I usually just go to burger king to get value burgers and fries because it’s closer and Mcdonalds is out of the way. They screwed up on giving us less ice cream for the dollar sundays so I get those from mcdonalds still. Other than that, chick fillet or red lobster. I only eat out like twice a week because it’s the smart thing to do.

Carl’s jr always pisses me off, they charge like 5-6 bucks for a burger, but they cant leave any fucking ketchup or any condiments out, bunch of bitches.

=

Profit.

Yo what’s with those paper thin patties?

^Big things come in small packages, and if you don’t think so at first you’ll know so after you hit the toilet

Most people don’t know the joys of combining fast food.

Public compuksory schools are granted on average $2.50 to spend on each kid’s lunch, can’t blame them. I remember the best thing in my highschool was the mozzerella stick that had a slightly bluish green moldy tint to them.

Anyways I remember ordering the pancake breakfast from McD’s about 11 years ago or so which made me feel really lazy, tired, and sluggish all day that is when I decided to never eat fast food again, and cook my own food as often as possible, hell I rarel eat out.

Investing in cook books especially Martha Stewart’s How To Cook Everything and subscribing to Food And Wine magazine is one of the best decisions anyone can ever make in their life.

Costs me more to cook my own meals. I end up spending most of my weekly budget on groceries if I cook every meal.

That means you’re shopping at the wrong place and/or buying the wrong stuff.

Before cooking I was spending ~$13,000.00 on food per year (Manhattan is overpriced though).
Now I cook when possible and spend ~$7,500.00 on food per year.

It’s easier to control your diet when you plan it out, buy what you need, and cook as planned.

I don’t know what McDonald’s does, but a lot of people feel very tired and start sweating after eating their food.

that’s your hearts way of begging for mercy.

I’ve never eaten at Burger King ever. Got a drink there once, and it was flat. Never had a whopper or anything even their fries.

I like Bittman’s How to Cook Everything. I really think that’s all you need.

Most of what I make is stuff that I’ve modified for my own tastes. But I have relied on Bittman heavily to start and then experiment from.

You don’t really need too many recipes. But Bittman is good because he teaches you how to buy a variety of ingredients, explains cooking techniques and chopping techniques, and even tells you what tools and utensils you need, what’s optional, and really gives you a really good overview on pretty much everything. I’m not really familiar with Martha Stewarts one, but maybe it’s similar. Just adding my own to your list.

And I agree entirely. I’m sure I’ve posted the same thing before. I don’t really understand why people eat out so much, the food is pretty much always lower quality than what you can make at home, it tastes better at home and it’s more comfortable and so much cheaper. And after you get a good chunk of recipes under your belt, it’s pretty fast and you know exactly how long everything will take, and you can also start combining stuff to really get high level multi-course meals going.

I don’t really believe we are at a recession now and I think the can can be kicked down the road for awhile yet. But if things do implode, it’s the people that can’t cook for shit that will struggle big time especially at the start.

Dude, godlike fries right there. Since you posted that pic, that reminds me, I need to visit one asap. Haven’t been to a Rally’s in ages.

This thread has taught me that… I need to buy some Wendy’s chicken nuggets tonight.

if you guys didnt learn anything from my last post… THEY PUT THE FUCKING POPPERS… INSIDE THE BURGER! THE FUCKING POPPERS DUDE!
