Oh yes, you also have to update the Multi-Console Cthulhu first, before everything works.
You have to update directly to the Multi-Console Cthulhu through its USB Jack.
You cannot update it from the Imp v2 USB Jack.

I’ve wired the madcatz pcb to mc cthulhu without a problem, and then the imp v2 to the cthulhu, but how to i need to wire the usb connections for the usb between the pcb’s but i wasn’t to sure on how to wire the imp v2 to the usb

Data- and Data+ of TE PCB will go to XD- and XD+ of Imp v2.
That is all, then you are done.

Just plug in a USB cable to the USB Jack on Imp v2.

I’m kinda confused about the 360 inputs. Is it absolutely necessary to solder them to the Cthulu or would it be ok just screwing them into the terminals?

I’m curious. What kind of RJ45 pin configuration is the cable going from IMP and neutrik port supposed to use? I connected an RJ45 cable from IMP to neutrik and the device malfunctions in Windows. I connected my RJ45 USB directly to the imp and it’s just fine.

EDIT: NM, I found the problem. The solder point for D on the Cthulhu was weak.

I soldered the MC Cthulu to the IMP v2 and THEN read that i shouldve updated the MC Cthulu first. Why? Hopefuly i dont have to unsolder.

Just plug a usb cable directly into the Cthulhu and update that way. No need to desolder.

Quick question: For a dual pcb setup, it says that point “C” is the ground that comes from the USB cable. The 360 board is common ground so i assume any ground point will work, so i connected the ground from RT as it was more convenient for wiring sake, is this assumption correct? or do i specifically need to use the ground from the USB cable?

If you install an imp switch into the Cthulhu model to get XBox360 support, is it also possible to install a headset port for XBox Live and expect it to work?

I followed this dual mod layout to the letter and can’t get it to work…I checked my mc cthulhu like it said in the paperwork to make sure it was working properly when I got it…the pc read the board…now after I have done all the installation its not doing anything at all… Iinstalled a sparky led controller which has power and working fine but the cthulhu isn’t working on the ps3 or at all for that matter…do you guys have any advice or place I should start?

I have done the Dual mod (along with multi-console Ethernet port) on an SE stick from Bombermans guide like 3 years ago:

A while back I modified a Street Fighter Anniversary Stick with Happ parts to work on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and GameCube/Wii. But that was the stone age of stick modifcation, and here we are now in the golden age! These days, the same functionality and more can be accomplished using Toodles’ MC Cthulhu and Imp boards. It’s important to start with an Xbox 360 stick (or at least a common ground Xbox 360 controller PCB) because Toodles’ Cthulhu boards only take care of the PS3 side of things. T…

But recently the PS3/Cthulhu mode doesn’t work anymore. I can get it to 360 mode by putting the switch on RS then plug in and it works fine on PC and 360, but regular Cthulhu mode doesn’t work. I can’t even do a bootloader firmware upgrade anymore. The Ethernet mod works fine too. I use my PS2 and Gamecube converters without issues. I’ve even went direct with a USB A to B connector on the MC Cthulhu to my PC/PS3 and still no-go.

I’ve checked all my connections with a multimeter. Any ideas?
