The main problem I have is push blocking seems to kill a lot of my pressure, any advice on what I should be doing?
I’ve started using Haggarpool in Ultimate… and I’d definitely like some tips on how to use that team. I use mainly Quick Work for a ground unblockable (call-in pool, Ground Pipe, 'pool hits. If you time it right, he can’t block as pipe hits high and 'pool hits low.)
Anchor is Spencer at the moment.
What assists are you using? Canceling into a whiffed Hoodlum :l: can help maintain forward momentum.
That’s what I primarily abused also, Quick Work has amazing synergy with Haggar. Instead of Spencer you might want to consider a strong lockdown assist to help you close the distance. This can also help you set up TELEPORT mix-ups with Deadpool once he comes in on point. I used Amaterasu Cold Star but that has limited range. Doom Plasma Beam, Strange Bolts of Balthakk, Sentinel Drones etc are good options. Quik, multi-hitting assists like Plasma Beam have the added bonus of being extremely effective OTG extenders for Haggar letting you relaunch easily.
Gonna take me longer than I thought to run through stuff with Frank. Shopping Cart is godlike for Haggar. I’m tempted to leave it at that but I wanna mess with Assist B as it changes up with Frank’s level.
Joke combo with Vergil rising sun assist:
Level 3, call Vergil+otg, assist hits, pipe, assist hits xx giant haggar press. 700+k
I’m messing with Haggar/Trish/Frank and that shopping cart is sooooo stupidly good for Haggar’s otg followups. Also with 2 bars (and it isn’t too hard to get 2 bars with Haggar) I’m guaranteed a lvl 4 Frank permitting the opponent has the life to survive long enough for a single camera flash. You thought Wesker had bullshit normals? Lvl 4 Frank shits all over that.
Agreed. Level 4/5 Frank has fantastic normals. A wall and ground bounce I swear his roll gets better.
It’s good how his drinking penalty can be negated by tagging him out too.
I wouldn’t hate Strange in that make-up. I’m just worried about Strange as an Anchor.

Honestly Doom is probably better. His beam is beefier, works as an OTG extender, and he’s really scary in XF3. He would also be able to make decent use of Quick Work.
I’ll keep it down to 4 then and try each of them out online. Spot will be fought for by Spencer, Strange, Doom and Sent. The problem is that my Doom is ass but then again, the time I would spend learning Strange is time I would spend making my Doom less ass. Hm.

The trick is finding someone to survive this combo. The timing to get all 12 hits off of Wild Swing is a bit finicky. Air , :h: , :u: + :h: xx :qcf: + :s: will yield similar results and only lose you 3 hits which is still plenty for level 4. Pretty much any touch starting with 1 meter into BnB with OTG Frank + DHC Trish will get you 900k+ damage and enough for level 4.
EDIT: Just realized that Giant Haggar Press doesn’t DHC properly into Round Harvest outside of the corner. If you OTG into Shopping Cart you can do :d: + :h: , :a2: , :f: + :h: xx :qcf: + :atk::atk: (Mash) , DHC :qcb: + :atk::atk: , Raw Tag Frank , Super Jump Forward , Air :qcf: + :s:
After a throw you can do BnB into ground-bounce , Dash Forward , :atk: + :s: xx :qcf: + :atk::atk: (Mash) etc. You just need to DHC before the upper swing of RFF.
Catbond’s got it pretty much, but my combos are less complex. For 2 bars (Haggar combo builds a bar), as long as Trish is second on this team, you can pretty much get level 4 anywhere on screen. I once managed to get a level 5 with Haggar starting, but you gotta really push for the last hits on rapid fist and round harvest. More creative Frank/Haggar combos will probably get you to level 5 as well, but here’s some basic stuff for lvl 4:

Yes it seems like Haggar/Frank are great together. Adding Spencer makes them even better. Basically after any landed hit with Hagger you can get Frank to level 5 with only one meter using Spencer’s slanted wire grapple and a fully mashed RFF.

These are just some simple examples. Doing too long of a combo before hand will cause the opponent to flip out before the last hit of the RFF. Still trying to find the optimal combos for these…
im really trying to get a good team with haggar and frank spencer is really good for haggar…but with you have a team of haggar frank spencer its going to be impossiable to get in…ill figure it out one day though!
I tried this team for a while and yeah getting in is about as bad as you expect. Honestly with this team the best you can hope for is Leveling up Frank and then rolling to victory.
Haggar/Frank/Someone with a projectile assist is what I’d recommend
