Donations should never be mandatory. It’s ok to politely ask for it; in all honesty though, he shouldn’t have left it unattended. Street Fighter players are all shady. Watch yo ass.
With that said, I’ll probably donate some sheeit. Don’t make the community pay for it, it’s not their fault.
At the sign up area having a stick fund sounds good as a reminder, and the people getting stuff set up should all know that there’s another fund going on for just that purpose.
Noone will be required to donate anything. Sean is going to be reimbursed regardless. If anyone wants to soften the blow to those who are handling it then that would be sweet. 5$ entry for this tourney Still, judgeing by the opinions expressed here the next one will probably be 10$. We shall see.
I appreciate the large support from you guys, and I’ll still continue to support these tournaments by bringing games, consoles, and monitors and etc.
If you truly want to donate money to my new stick, I’ll accept it graciously and put towards the new stick I’m building, but please don’t feel obligated!
Also, extra thanks to Thrust for taking the time to help me build a box for my new stick! You da man bruddah.
That’s not a bad idea, but the question in hand is, how do we pay out if it’s top 5 or top 8? I know we got hella fucking asians in here. Someone do that math. I’m a non-stereotyped asian, i suck shit at this.
5th place gets $32. [That’s gas, food, and entry fee] Not bad for 5th place.
I feel like its better to rewards more back to the community so they can have some $$ to pay for the next tourney, gas, food, etc… If I win first I would be happy with just 50%. Its all comes down to if you want to win all for yourself or you willing to put some $$ back to the community.
No worries bro, this is a monthly, and June should be the strongest showing of them all. Be there for the next one!
As for the percentages, I’d like to hear some input. I personally don’t mind a top 5 payout if there are 128 people involved, and a top 8 for a 256. But as we all know, there is no one person who makes a final say in any of this until we hear from the rest of the community.
