-2/3 rounds best of two sets in
- Losers & Winners Finals 2/3
-Grand Finals 3/5
- All Characters Allowed

- Losers & Winners Finals 2/3
-Grand Finals 3/5
-No gambit glitch, dead body infinites only for postioning

- Losers & Winners Finals 2/3

- Akuma Banned

Tournament Rules
-Prizes 70/20/10% of entry fees of the respective tournament
-Each tournament will be double elimination (you must lose 2 matches to be eliminated)
-Standard matches will be 2 out of 3 games
-Grand Finals 3 out 5 games
-Button mapping is ok, programmable pads are banned
-during a match, winner of a game, keeps character/team, loser may switch characters
-You are responsible for your own controller when your match comes up
-game freezing glitches are banned
-game pausing will be dealt with on a per-instance basis. generally, person who pauses loses, but it’s up to the proctor/judge

I still want side tourneys so people dont get bored. But we will have more SF4 Stations. A lot more, like more, as in lots.

Who knows 256 bracket may be possible as well.

I actually really really like the idea of breaking the turnout record. Problem is logistics. But I’m sure we can figure some solutions to it.

For those of us who rely on others for rides can we get registered early and just pay when we get there? The last time I was there the only reason I managed to get in was cause of luck.

Nima, I know you want to run every game to make as many people happy as possible, but I would very much recommend limiting the game list to maybe two others beyond SF4. Everyone wants to play SF4 anyways, and as long as there’s a couple of casual stations for people to get down on their favorite game, they’ll probably be happy.

i honestly feel bad for not having the other games in the line-up. but ill see what i can do, i already cut two games off the list, no cvs2 or tvc for sure. We will see what happens with the other games.

SFIV tourney and causals with other games on the side sounds great! I get bored and tired waiting for my next match for SFIV. What happens when players with xbox stick vs players with ps3 sticks? I was lucky that I played against all xbox stick players on the last tourney. I don’t have a ps3 stick. Sure, I can borrow it from someone, and that takes time. If more people are doing that, then it will hold up the tourney. I suggest one bracket for 360 and one bracket for ps3. I don’t really know how that will work out exactly. Just a suggestion…

Then how do you reconcile one bracket having more than another (say you get 30 ps3 and 80 360 players, for example), and how do you combine them at the end? It just doesn’t work well.

Nima, good to keep the Evo games imo. maybe cap the others at 32, and take early signups for them or something. How many did HD:R and marvel get last time?

I looked there before asking. 3s, marvel, and HD:R don’t list player total. I guess I’m supposed to assume 32, though the results could have extended beyond that like they do for SF4.
