(The motherfucker made me play on xbox when I explained to him I could only play on ps3 for the time being and I wasn’t comfortable with the 360 pad. He had a TE stick and wouldn’t let anyone lend them their’s to use on ps3. And to top it off he wasn’t even good on xbox. I hit this fucking lame with 2 random ultra’s on a te stick ive never used before!)

A suggestion to the organizers: when you have ppl sign in for the sf4 tournaments you should have them write down ps3 or xbox 360 by their names and try to have the respective console users fight each other. this way people that drive hours to get to your event wont lose due to playing on a system theyve never used before. I talked to a few people that had to flip a coin and ended up playing on something they werent familiar with.
gozhard350 you seriously need to stop making excuses as to why you lost. We have enough ps3’s and 360’s so that anyone can play on whatever. Im sorry that you couldn’t play on the pad you wanted to but come on man. dont blame the person just because he made you play on the xbox. if you agreed to play him on xbox even though you knew you can only play on a ps3 pad, then thats your fault not his. i dont want to turn this into a big issue. but please do not call anyone out and start cursing at them. i want everyone here to be cool with each other and not have some stupid drama next time you come. until then peace out.

i did NOT agree. i was made to flip a coin. I actually sat there and talked to him and explained to him I wouldn’t play on xbox. He had a TE STICK. He refused to borrow someone’s elses TE stick that was compatible with the ps3. I actually had to flip a coin 3 times last night. I lost two and won one. Coincidently the two coin losses I lost were the matches I lost in the tournament.

i thought the coin flip rule was listed in the 1st post, but i think it was listed in 1st post for another tourney. i do agree that there is a big difference between ps3 and xbox pad, but i’m sure the situation could have prolly been handled a little better at the time (however that’s speculation since i wasnt’ really there when it happened). just throwing random ideas out there: help him find a ps3 te stick to borrow, refuse the coin flip completely since there’s no ps3->xbox converter, bring a ps2 pad so you can borrow someone else’s xbox converter(this is more for next tourney actually). etc etc.
i know how you feel about losing from playing on a stick you’re not used to. it happened to me last fuddruckers, i brought my ps3 te stick and ended up having to use someone else’s xbox te stick. however, after i read that evo is allowing 8 buttons, i made a habit of using L1/L2 for ultras, and the xbox stick i was using had L1/L2 buttplugged away. and i felt like i lost a game winning combo cuz i did “DP fadc -->oh ok no button there, fuck my life”. after that, i just went back to using 3buttons for ultra. so yea, i agree shit happens, but i also agree with it not letting it ruin it for the community. next time bring a ps2 pad so you can just borrow a converter…(i think that works?)
anyways, i also didnt’ get to say hi in person. i was looking for a “big black guy in a pink happy days t-shirt”. i saw a blanka player on pad, but i think he was mexican, so i was confused.
