I heard rumor that you are allowing people to participate from home via Internet? This is just rumor, but it came from a few of the frequenters at the venue. Someone there told them that apparently.
Is this true?
Now, as cool as I think it is to be able to play in a tourny from my home, I’m fully against introducing lag and latency to a tournament. Playing online is bad enough, but when you bring that element into a tournament, it changes everything. Including what and how we practice.
If this isn’t true, you need snuff it out quickly.
!00% FALSE, I’ve been advised heavily against it by our mutual friend. Something to the effect that He would drop all involvement in the process if it was to be allowed. I don’t know where this rumor came from but it was never discussed at the venue or with anyone from the venue.

Check with the venue. Given that they are a business, they might be spreading things themselves. Part of my wariness with DiceHead was that they were wanting far more control than I felt they needed. Granted, that was well over two months ago. Things might have changed. But, at the same time, we don’t know what their employee’s/customers have been saying to get people interested either.
Look into it. With it being false, it would good to get it cleared up and stopped.
Otherwise, if things clear up, I’m going to try to make the Tekken 5 DR. However, there is a LOT going on that day.

I straightened it out, they said they haven’t heard anything about it its going to be a standard tournament if you Don’t show up you don’t play.
That’s weird… I went up to Dicehead to pick up some comics and asked about the tourney a couple weeks ago and they didn’t mention anything about playing online. Not sure where that rumor came from. I’m glad kratos killed that rumor quick.
yeah that would have been idiotic, that wasn’t even considered. it was probly started by one of those “I know the guy” types or somebody who was bored and decided to stir up some shit.
