hey guys, im currently working on a video tutorial series for fuerte against the whole cast.
i just got the pc version, so i started working on this.
tell me if you like it (in rep would be nice:blush:) and let me know if i missed anything in a certain match up or just any suggestions in general (is it too long or redundant?)
i’ll be checking the match ups 2.0 thread but if you guys have any specific little tricks for the next few characters in the alphabet be sure to post them here (i’m lookin at you halconryu).
its kind of a basic tactics guide, so im not sure if i’ll include more advanced stuff, like option selects, maybe that warrants another video guide.
09/14/09 UPDATE volume 1 comprete!
VOLUME 1 comes in at about 12:30 (i had to split it into two parts for youtube)
it showcases match up tutorials for abel akuma balrog and blanka

the abel section ended up being way shorter than the other three, and admittingly i know that match up the least of the four. the akuma section was a pain, but i think it turned out alright. balrog and blanka sections are really long, but there was so much stuff to cover. balrog section was way too fun to edit. changed abels music so that everyone ends up with an original track.
hopefully this helps newer fuerte players and maybe even veteran fuertes. anyway, next up is cammy, and i really dont know much for that match up- so give me anything you guys have
Badass. Love the editing. The only problem I can really see is adding things at a later date but even if some stuff gets left out, a visual guide to document a reasonable amount of tips and tricks will be a big help to everyone. Looking forward to the next installment.
Not bad. The abel roll is fairly well known to grab it, but then again I watch g1 scrubs just let him roll all day =/ and I don’t think the ultra to anything statement is really needed.“It’s kind of a given to ultra if they whiff that badly” Mainly your going to repeat your self a lot in your video if you do add that to each character match up. Which will result in a larger file / upload time. Other then that this will be a great guide for up and coming new fuerte players.
An easy tip is pressing jab to keep players grounded. You can even mix up jab with cr.mk xx splash/tortillia Normally against characters who do not have a shoryuken I f.MK into jab blockstun to keep them grounded. Yet against able on wakeup if you f.mk he can command grab you everyyyy timeeee.
well guys, im at a loss,
i finished the akuma and balrog sections a while ago, and they look good-
im making the video in windows movie maker on vista, and the whole video works fine when i preview it in the movie maker window, but when i actually publish the video, it only works fine up until a certain point.
at a certain point in the published file, the image will just turn black (although audio and subtitles still work). i’ve tried pretty much everything i could think of in the options to get it to work, but i just dont know what to do :(. if anyone has some suggestions, i would appreciate it. i dont want to have to re-edit those two entire sections again, as it took me a good amount of time to get it all together…
yea man this is good!..everybody has clips up of how-to’s with each character and what-not…except for the great luchador! =) he has been due for some clips that show his basics and even his advanced strats. and tech. ect. so i hope all of us this can keep this going…
