against abel:

  • what your options are after abel gets in with f+mk -> dash
  • what to do about abel’s crossups
  • overall goal of the fight (don’t let abel get his f+mk stuff started)
  • options to counter abels grab

against akuma:

  • ambiguous cross up fierce, option select run -> slide to catch teleports
  • ex run forward through standing hk into rsf
  • crumpling akuma with FA stun is possible between the 1st and 2nd hit, but not on reaction
  • what your no-meter options are in dealing with s.hk patterns
  • how akuma’s s.hk (moves forward) combined with his focus attack (moves back) severely mess up fuertes midrange game

against balrog:

  • how to deal with ex straight punch (the good one)
  • emphasize focus attacks at midrange to force balrog to use his shitty moves instead of his good ones
  • what to do about balrog’s jab offense
  • what to punish balrogs overhead with
  • how to attack a balrog looking to c.hp everything

doh, looks like i missed quite a bit- the focus stuff for balrog is something i really should have included- i might make a follow up video sometime- but i’ll be honest, some of those situations, i dont have many answers for

great info, i never thought of ex run through akuma’s s.hk. could you elaborate on crumpling akuma inbetween his s.hk? or is it just kind of a luck thing? :stuck_out_tongue:

he just means that if you bait correctly a s.hk (by ex-running back through one then stop for instance) and you had already begun charging when he pressed the button, then you can crumple him.

Hey when I bait Blanka’s ultra sometimes when I’m behind him and he’s coming down from the air. I slide and the slide stops his ultra. Does anyone else know about this technique?
