Keep your eyes open for tournies, you just missed west coast warzone in Irvine. That is only 20 minutes from long beach. BTW Tatsu made it to Semis at WCW, hopefully vids pop up.
Oh Tatsu…

This is part of the Tatsu Vs. Coffee match at WCW. The second part hasn’t and may not be uploaded, but hopefully it will be with the rest of the WCW vids.

Good to actually see the guy.
Here’s Some of my vids from Seattle Washington Northwest Majors I tried my best to rep vega

You use backflip the same way I use the :l:&:r: Try to cut down on those. Once you start getting better, your opponents will start getting better, and at that point, they’ll start punishing those backflips.
Use those normals! They’re great
Also, try to walk more. Some people don’t know, but Vega has fast walking speed compared to others.
You seem to have a good grasp on using his specials, throws and a few link combos, but work on your basics. and you’ll find yourself winning much more often. Good luck on the Vega path. thumbs up
“Oh he got oooOOOoooOO…OOoooooOOO…oooooooOOOOO”. - so catchy. I’m totally gonna overuse it.
And yes, constant backflips - your grave.
All the Abel vs Vega matchups you could possibly want

Someone asked me recently for matches of myself. So, I figured, why not just post a collection of vids from Tatsu and I? Old stuff, but, enjoy!

Thanks for this post Bebop.
A lot of goodness from those links :clapdos:
that’s some sick shit.
Some of those vids were just so epic, I literally cried back when he did that clutch finish against Gootecks. Who could ever forget it. It was back when Bebop had his cool Vega avatar who did
sigh
Bebops playing style is unique in a way- he knows what works and what doesn’t and has very good matchup knowledge in general. He has good reaction and manages to hitconfirm most combos with mid punches or mid kicks. The only thing he’s really lacking are his 1 framers. He almost never hitconfirms or hits any 1-frame links like cr.lk cr.lk EX Dive or cr.lp cr.mp consistently. That’s what he’s lacking atm, but other than that he’s still my favourite Vega player
GO BEBOP

You remember the sigh avatar! :woot:
Yea, my execution is pretty inconsistent. Some days I’m on point, other days I’m way off. I should probably just stop being lazy and go buy a 360, lol.
You should put that avatar up again sometime.
I know that, too. I know every single match of you and studied them hard. I even watched you live at SBO qualifiers and was like “WOOOOOOO” when you ultra’d that Ken.sob
I always remember your attitude and how you told the newbies not to ask anything if they haven’t looked through all the threads before. And that’s probably what I did because you were the only Vega I knew was out there beating top players to a pulp with a character I initially wanted to give up on - and the stuff you were saying somehow HAD to be right
You should really buy a 360 and start rolling again.
-just another fan letter

Haha, thanks for the support man.
Yea, I have a pretty harsh attitude towards people who don’t research things, or ask tons of questions that have already been answered, but people fail to realize that I’m harsh like this because I absolutely should be. For me to put in countless hours to not only build my Vega to a respectable level, but to also write up strategies and post advice, and then have some people waltz in and demand quick answers or suggest the same advice as their own, is pretty upsetting. I mean, if I took all that time to dedicate towards spreading Vega knowledge, people should at least take some time to research it, or research any of the other great advice that other Vega players have given here. Besides, I hardly see anyone coming up with anything new anyways… Which kinda helps me to transition to my next point…
Some of you might remember me mentioning a Vega tutorial video some time ago. It was never seen to fruition because of schedule conflicts and whatnot. BUT, I’m in the works with gootecks to produce a set of high quality tutorial videos, the likes of which have never been seen! The video will be segmented into several parts, each containing a different match-up and which options to choose against every single option the opposing character has. For instance:
-What options does Vega have if Ryu throws a fireball from up close? Mid range? Long range?
-What options do you have against each of his jumping attacks?
-Which of Vega’s pokes are ideal against Ryu’s pokes and why?
-How does Vega defend against Ryu (every option explored)? How does Vega get in on Ryu (every option explored)?
-What are the best ways to regain the lead (each part here will be studied according to how much meter you have).
-What should you do early game / mid game / late game?
And much, much, much more!
Anywho, I really am considering getting a 360… maybe sometime next month. Gotta get one so I can tighten up all my combos with Bla… oh, wait… I think I said too much… :wgrin:
Sorry for the double post, but I wanted this vid to get it’s rightful attention…
Introducing…
the greatest Vega player to ever hold a microphone…

That’s actually one of the reasons why i stopped or barely come to this vega section anymore. I’ve noticed that since march or april, people always ask the same questions and theres always threads about how much vega sucks. Also, the fact that some arent even good but always try to talk big.
You, Tatsu, rudeboy, and a few others are the only ones that i actually respect.
please excuse my social awkwardness. i had a traumatic childhood and upbringing and as a result i don’t really know how to talk to people
also i hate my sf4 vega vids. ;_; people always happen to record ones of me losing, and the ones of me winning are rather outdated and scrubby. it’s a damn curse. if you are trying to get better at all, then i would not suggest using my videos as reference
You’re missed, Buddha! You, Dreadz, whitecrowz, and all the others…
Stop being modest… You pretty bastard!
Tatsu = Best Vega
The fact that you do well in tournaments against good people earns my respect Tatsu.
